A Short Life of Abraham Lincoln / Condensed from Nicolay & Hay's Abraham Lincoln: A History

Nicolay and John Hay worked closely with Lincoln in the White House. Together they produced a ten volume biography of the 16th President. This condensed one-volume edition, completed by Nicolay, is acclaimed for maintaining the larger work's breadth and clarity. In itself, it is a fair and complete study of Lincoln, his achievement, and his times.
