An Unforgettable Ex

On our seventh anniversary, I inadvertently stumbled upon a hidden confession in Liam's public Facebook post.

It was his unrequited love for Destinee.

I realized then that the initials letters on our wedding rings were never meant to stand for Liam and Divya, but for his unwavering longing for Destinee.

He was eager to marry me on a holiday, not out of love, but because Destinee was also getting married to someone else that day.

"Divya, what is the fuss again?" Liam asked, standing at the door.

I turned to face him calmly and said, "Liam, let's break up."

He furrowed his brows slightly, trying to snatch the phone from my hand as he entered the room, only to find that I had already saved a screenshot.

"Why are you so upset about an old post?"
