Commander, Please Spare Your Little Merman

Nolan was an exceptionally rare pink merman, coveted by everyone who learned of his existence.

After escaping a dangerous laboratory, he stumbled into Vincent, the first human willing to protect him.

Gentle and attentive, Vincent dried his hair, warmed his clothes, and made Nolan believe he was safe. Nolan liked this human.

He believed Vincent had saved him. Then, without warning, Vincent pressed a gun to his forehead.

Nolan should have fled, but he couldn't stay away.

His savior was also his executioner, and worse, the most powerful commander in human society.

Torn between fear and trust, Nolan could only ask, "Vincent, should I come closer, or stay away?"
