Jack and Jill of Thornsberry

Jack and Jill were young adults who started as childhood friends and became lovers but life led them on two different paths. She wanted to escape the small-town life and he wanted to get married and settle down. But distance made her heart grow fonder for him, yet her absence made his heart grow colder towards her.

When Jill returned to Thornsberry to reaffirm her love for Jack, she was rejected because there was another love in his life, Cindy Von. Jill chose to leave Thornsberry permanently after Jack denied her and confessed his love for Cindy. The night before her departure, there was an assault reported on Jack and Jill, which left them both lying unconscious, but no one knew who was responsible. And there was no sign of Cindy Von.
