After a successful surgery I went straight to the Reception desk.

"Ughh..These back and forth surgeries are slowly killing me." I said bowing.

"I need to talk to the Chief of Surgery. There must be a Trauma Surgeon who is better than me----"

"Dr. Reiszl!" I heard a call to me that made me look up and I was surprised to see that it was Veronica who is my friend and is also a Surgeon but she is in another district and she is just visiting, I raised my hand to say HI and smiled at her.

"Yeeeshhh. No offense, Dr. Rei, but you look like crap. When was the last time you got some shut-eye!" it said with a laugh that made me wince.

"Maybe..around fifty thousand consultations ago." I said still nodding.

I grabbed my hair out of frustration. "Ugh, it's just been crazy!" I cried and he just laughed at me.

"You know that John Domez earlier? That's the sixth GSW I've had to deal with this week!" I said here.

Veronica's eyes widened as she looked at the patient file.

"Why?" I asked so he turned to me.

"Nothing!" he said laughingly making me frown.

"What are you not telling me huh?" I asked, making him gasp.

"Well, it's just...you ever heard of the Miller?" he asked and I frowned.

"That's sound familliar...where did I hear that name?" I asked while stroking my chin with my finger while thinking.

"They're basically the mafia family who run the entire city." it said and I was stunned.

"Wait, what did you say mafia family?" and it nodded. "Ugh, great---more mobster." I said then I looked up.

"Wait, you've met them before?" it asked.

"Well, I just heard." I just said.

"Yeah, well, these guys? They're the real deal. Scary as sh*t, and the rumor is Miller's family are trying to expand their turf." he said and I shook my head.

"So why now? If their family is really infamous, why are they trying to expand it now and not before, right?" I said that it seems that I am not really satisfied with those mafia mafias.

"Well...between you and I, I think it's because they are making preparations for the new mob leader." it said.

"And who?" I will ask.

"My guess is Blake Miller. And word on the street is that he's hot as he's deadly," he said excitedly.

"Hot? How can a criminal be hot huh?" I asked annoyed.

"Oh, come on Dr Reizl, think about it...Tangling limbs with a sexy, brooding don. It's like the ultimate fantasy." it said.

"Well, thanks but no thanks." I said then I looked up.

Veronica started laughing at me when suddenly a tall man entered the entrance.

"Evening, ladies." it said smiling.

I noticed his pale face and one of his hands inside his jacket as if covering something.

"You mind directing me to the nearest bathroom?" it asked.

I watched his handsome face which is probably means he's bad news, I took a deep breath and pointed to the bathroom.

"Uh, sure..walk straight down this corridor and take a left, it's the second door on your right." I just said.

"Thanks, Doc." he said smiling.

I felt something strange when he gave me another look before walking down the corridor.

"Dude, you should so totally go get that guy's number and bang his brains out---"

"Veronica!"

"Because if you don't, I will." he said smiling so I just shook my head. I noticed that man who suddenly turned right even though I told him to turn left. 𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑡'𝑠 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑦 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑏𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑜𝑜𝑚!

"You know, Dr. Reizl----"

"Hold that thought, Veronica. I'll be back." I said.

I followed the man in the black jacket, and when I reached the corridor and turned right, I realized that he was gone. "Where did he go?!" I asked myself confused.

I noticed the fire exit door and immediately opened it and it was dark inside but I still went in. The further I go, the darker it gets, making the hairs on the back of my neck rise, shocks!

"Sh*t, it's dark. Why am I even doing---?"

My heart hammers as a firm hand tugs me into the stairwell, pressing me against the wall.

"Looking for me, Doc?" This question made me inhale.

"You!---" He immediately put his palm in my mouth and brought a finger to his lips.

"Shhh!" I immediately stared into his eyes, looking at me seriously.
