Valerie hadn't sent a single text or made a single call.

I knew it was time for us to end.

Before boarding my flight back home, I sent her a message:

【Let's get a divorce.】

Right after sending it, I couldn't resist checking Landon's social media feed, and sure enough, I found traces of Valerie.

Less than two hours after Valerie deserted me yesterday, Landon had posted:

【Best boss ever. Thanks for keeping me warm in this unfamiliar city.】

When I saw the location tag, I let out a dry laugh that quickly dissolved into tears.

I always prided myself on being tough, but now I knew what true heartbreak felt like.

Valerie never flew back home.

Landon had flown out to join her.

The location was right at the harbor where the pink dolphins appeared.

And today, Landon updated again:

【Blessed beyond words to see pink dolphins with the most important person in my life. I think I'll be happy forever.】

Valerie had even commented: "You will be."

Utterly sickening.

If she wanted a fairytale life with Landon so badly, why didn't she just accept the divorce?

A new text from Valerie popped up, making me scoff.

She wrote: 【Ethan, can you stop making a scene? Do you think I don't worry about you? Do you have any idea how busy I am right now?】

Of course I didn't.

So I went to Landon's post from yesterday and left a comment:

【You could've at least waited until my divorce is finalized before posting.】

Then, beneath Valerie's reply on his newest post, I added:

【So, business back home is keeping you that busy?】

I took a deep breath, shut off my phone, and boarded the plane.
