Chapter 3 A ruined second chance

"Hannah, please, let's talk" says Francisco insistently.

But Hannah was not convinced by his words, and better, she decided to continue on her way, luckily, the people had been taken to the company terrace, because there a spectacular lunch banquet that her son Javier had organized for them was waiting for them. them as a gift, because he had not wanted to study a university portfolio as an accountant as well as what his parents were like, since he had dreamed of being a chef since he was 15 years old, but he never had the support of his father.

His mother did give him all her support, although the only thing she could allow was that when he wanted, he could cook at home taking advantage of the fact that his sisters loved his seasoning and they could ask for what they wanted to eat because in the end, That didn't matter to him, the only thing that mattered to him was that they let him cook.

For this reason, Javier even took advantage of the social events of his parents to stand out, and he did, he also did that his own father hated him for shining much more than his son's than himself.

The father-son relationship between the two had fallen from the moment that Javier denied that his father was enrolling him in the university to study accounting and not gastronomy, and now, it had fallen even more since his suspicions that he had a lover were confirmed. they had come true.

But that night, Hannah allowed Francisco to enter the house, but not before asking her children to spend the night at their maternal grandmother's house. In the end, the 78-year-old woman lived alone in a large house in the city, and had space to share with his only grandchildren.

Javier denied wanting to stay at his grandmother's house because the woman was a bit old-fashioned to be living in the 21st century, since he found out about the separation of his daughter and his new man, he did nothing but pray for that relationship to return to being the one before, ignoring the idea that his son-in-law had a lover with whom he was not going to end his relationship, and last but not least, his support for his daughter was completely nil.

Only her youngest granddaughter, Flora, 17, went to stay the night at her maternal grandmother's house, because her mother was being very strict in letting her stay at the house of her best friend whom she I knew since they were little.

Javier went to sleep that night at his uncle Efrain's house, and Sara had gone to sleep at her best friend's house because she was of legal age, she was 19 years old, and she could afford to make those decisions without matter if his mother intervened.

Hannah was left alone at home, when she got in the car she did not stop crying, luckily, Matilda, her servant, had already left her work hour because she had asked Hannah for permission to let her do it by having the excuse of that he had a family problem to attend to at that moment and that he could not wait.

Hannah entered the house, went to the kitchen, and took out a rather fine bottle of wine from the bar that her best friend Andrea had given her a few days ago from her liquor distribution business.

"This can't seriously be happening to me, 25 years of marriage went to hell, all because of a 25-year-old woman, it can't be" Hanna says to herself as she uncovers the bottle of wine, and begins to serve it. in his cup.

Hannah was about to fill the rim of the glass with wine when she realized that it was too much wine for herself, and she drank it all in one gulp before Francisco got home because she didn't want him to see her in that state. , and realize how weak she felt at that moment.

Hannah listens that someone with a set of keys in hand opens the door of the house, and since her children were not there, she knew that it was Francisco, ignoring the indications that she had given him of not wanting to see him approach the house.

House that was no longer Ana's because she had been inherited from her deceased father.

Her mother had kept the house that was on the outskirts of the city to live a quiet old age away from the city.

“Hannah? where are you?" Francisco asks at the same time that he walks down the corridor that connects from the door of the house to the television room.

Hannah takes another small sip of her wine, leaving the glass on the bar counter, and she leaves the place to go to where Francisco was looking for her.

"What do you want? Didn't you listen when I told you I didn't want you to come to the house until the divorce papers were ready to sign?" Hannah tells him, walking towards hers with her arms crossed, and a serious look that even Francisco felt her skin shudder when he saw it.

"Please Hannah, let's talk, don't make such hasty decisions because of a relationship that was just an affair, nothing more" Francisco tells her as he walks to the television room and sits in one of the armchairs in the room, an armchair in the one that only fit one person.

Hannah follows in step with her husband, but she sits in the chair that was family size.

"Ah, so what you had with your secretary was just an affair?" Hannah asks Francisco who remains silent without knowing what to say, he just stares into his wife's eyes with a cold and cynical look — So tell me Francisco, why don't you want to fire her if you justify what I saw in the company , at the event, and in your office was nothing more than an adventure?

That's everything available right now.
