Chapter 3 A Film Queen Was Forcibly Framed By Her Assistant

That was close. Liam almost blurted out that awful line.

Our lips still tingled from the kiss.

Liam seemed to remember something, and the admiration in his eyes vanished instantly.

Only then did I feel relieved. I glanced at the embarrassed Cathleen, saying, "I apologize on behalf of my boyfriend. I'm really sorry, Miss Clayton."

Even if it was just an act, my attitude was sincere enough.

Cathleen couldn't find any fault and had to leave.

Liam let out a sigh of relief and leaned on my shoulder, rubbing his temples in frustration. "What would I do without you?"

Liam smiled, tracing circles in my palm with his finger. "If one day I really lose my mind and misunderstand you like in the script, hurting you, just slap me hard." I joked, "Don't worry, if that really happens, I won't hold back."

That night marked the beginning of Cathleen and Carl's feelings for each other.

The upcoming plot was that Carl couldn't let go of me, but at the same time, he was also interested in Cathleen.

After the award ceremony gained immense popularity, the investors, in order to create buzz, deliberately produced a drama with me and Carl as the male and female leads respectively.

Liam initially wanted to help me decline the role.

The first scene was a rescue scene where Carl saved me, leading to our acquaintance.

According to the romantic plot, as the scheming rival, I was supposed to cause troubles.
