Chapter 3

“Enough!”

The roar cut through the room like ice water. I looked up to see Chase standing over us, his face red with rage.

“Chase, what the―” I started, forcing my voice steady even as my heart hammered.

“A little game? Or a little something else?” Chase hauled me up from Ivan's lap and spat, “Vera, have you no shame? You want a man? I will give you a man right now.”

I barely had time to think before he dragged me into the bathroom.

“Damn it, Vera, do you want to be punished?” Chase looked half-wild, his eyes burning.

He shoved me against the sink, the cold edge digging into my back. His hands wrapped around my throat, tight enough to scare me.

“Tell me. Did you feel something just now? Huh?”

I could not breathe right, and something dark inside me was still burning. The rougher he was, the more that fire grew. I tried to play scared, but I could not help watching his face, the fury and the want tangled up in his eyes.

“I―” I let my voice shake on purpose, watching him lose himself in his need.

He forced me into a wider stance, his hand shoving up my dress. “What was that, hm? Playing innocent? You were having fun with that foreigner, were not you?”

His words burned my face. Shame and want twisted together. I tried to fight back, but my body would not listen.

He yanked his belt loose with a growl. “I am going to give you exactly what you want tonight.”

I was terrified. His whole team was right outside the door. If they heard us, I struggled hard, but he pinned both my wrists. “Do not, not here―”

He was not listening. He ripped at my dress like a wild animal, and my fighting only seemed to turn him on more.

“Chase, do not, this is not―” I begged, but he did not care, or maybe he just did not want to.

The cold tile bit into my back while his skin burned against mine. I tried to stop him before the last step, scared of being heard, scared of being seen. It was useless.

Just when I thought I would break, I caught a glimpse through the cracked door, Ivan's blue eyes staring at me, his mouth curved in a knowing smirk.
