Chapter 2 A BOND OF TRUST

I wanted to have a heart-to-heart conversation with you, but you weren't picking up," Mark said.   "Oh dear, I left my phone in the room. Mark asked.   "No, honey. I wish I could, but Elena needs me more," Celine replied.   "Wait, what happened to Elena? Is she okay?" Mark asked, concerned.   "Yeah, she's just going through a rough phase," Celine reassured him.   "Oh, I see. How about this-I take both of you out? We can cheer her up, buy her chocolates, and make her feel better," Mark suggested.   "Okay, I'll see if she's up for it," Celine said.   She turned to her sister.   "Ely, baby," Celine called. "My angel, let's go out this evening. Mark wants to take us out."   "No, sis, I'm not in the mood. You go and enjoy yourself," Elena replied. "Whether Eugene is here or not, I'll be fine."   "I won't go if you don't come with me," Celine insisted.   "Sis, don't be stubborn," Elena said.   "I'm not, baby. Just grant me this little request. Please, pretty please?"   "Okay, fine, I'll go," Elena finally agreed.   "Yoooooo!!! That's my baby! I love you," Celine said excitedly.   "I love you more, Cely. I love you, my baby," Elena replied with a smile.   After that, they made breakfast and got ready for the outing.   They had so much fun that it seemed like Elena had forgotten all her troubles, even if just for a day.   "Thanks so much, sis.
