Chapter 2

My soul was bound to Fallon's side.

I watched helplessly as she held hands with Gavin and walked back to the crew's hotel suite.

Before long, they tumbled onto the bed, their breathless moans echoing louder and louder.

I had to watch my own wife making love to another man, my heart shattering into utter despair.

When night fell, Gavin finally slipped into the bathroom.

Fallon lit a cigarette from the nightstand and picked up her phone to check her messages.

In the past, whenever we fought, I would always cave and apologize within thirty minutes.

This time, she realized I hadn't sent a single text or made a single call.

An irritated frown creased her brow.

Furious that I dared to give her the silent treatment, she dialed my number, ready to chew me out.

Gavin walked over, wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her lips softly.

"Fallon, if you're worried about Leo, why don't you go check on him?"

"Don't worry, it's only natural for you to care. I won't get jealous."

"It's all my fault that the two of you are fighting…"

His pitiful, guilt-ridden act instantly made Fallon forget all about scolding me.

She stroked his cheek tenderly, comforting him with total devotion.

"What nonsense are you talking about? You're the only one I love!"

"My marriage to him is just a hollow arrangement. You and I are true love."

"It's better if he never comes back. Just looking at him makes me sick."

She threw herself into Gavin's arms with an eager smile.

"Since he's not coming home, why don't you move into our place? It's much bigger than this room…"

With that, Fallon happily helped him pack his bags to check out of the hotel.

I roared in helpless fury, unable to do a single thing to stop them.
