Elaine's POV

Van's POV

I waited and checked the time, it's already 30 minutes and they're taking it so long. Why am I even doing this? As what I've said earlier, I hate people like that Luke person. Toying a girl's heart is worst.

"Sir Van, don't look yet." I was surprised because Jiyo said it and I am not facing them.

"Presenting the four eyed girl turned into a goddess." he smiled as I turned around. Woah, she's pretty without those glasses. I mean even prettier.

"Van? Is it alright?"

"Hello?? Van??" she said as she moved her hand in my face.

"That's star struck, sir." Jiyo said while teasing.

"Shut up, let's go" I said as I held her hand. We went to the car and Austin's driving it.

"Where exactly are we going?" she asked.

"Back at the hotel."

"What? I don't want to go back!"

"Can you please keep quiet for a while? We're here."

I said and she stopped.

Elaine's POV

When we got down, people started looking at me, like I was being stripped of my life huhu. I noticed we were going to the hotel casino. Why here??

"Have I?" I was surprised by what he said as he stretched out his hand telling me to touch it. Is this a dream? I feel like a princess with a gentleman prince! I just held it and we started walking inside the casino. My smile disappeared when I saw Luke and us heading here. They are playing.

I looked under when it noticed me.

"Let's play, shall we?" Van asked and we sat down.

They started playing and Van gave me a chip.

"Huh? Win? let's see, hold it babe" Luke also said to his female companion.

The game started and I tightened my grip on the chip, but we were still losing. three times already.

"You chose the wrong girl, man, that's always bad luck." he said and he and his partner laughed together. I'm getting shy.

"Van, let's stop please." I said and he just smiled.

"All in." he said and Luke's smile got bigger.

"Game."

"Van, don't." I said.

"Shh, trust me on this." he said and they played.

"Ace. I won" said Van which surprised me.

"Let's win? Yes!" I shouted. Luke's face was angry.

"Boss, last chance. Let's do it one more time please. I'll do everything you want, just once." Luke said pleadingly. How pathetic.

"Don't beg me, talk to her, kneel down in front of her. She'll decide what will happen to you." Van said and Luke knelt down without a second thought.

"Look, Elaine. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean what I said earlier and the way I treated you, please forgive me now? I'm sorry Elaine, I'm sorry." he said begging while kneeling in front of me.

"Stand up." I just said and left.

"Give it all to him." I heard Van say and followed me.

"Are you really sure about forgiving him that easily?" he asked.

"Yes, I won't gain anything if I harbor a grudge against him." I just said it.

"Van, thank you very much for what you did, I feel better now." I said and was about to leave.

"Get on board." he said when we were in front of his limousine.

"Huh?" I asked in surprise.

"I'll take you home. Your things are already there."

"Let's go." he just pulled me in.

When we arrived he gave me something.

"Here." he said while holding out the chip that I had touched earlier.

"From now on you won't be unlucky when you hold that. That's your lucky chip from now on." he said as he smiled.

"Thank you so much, Van. I know we won't see each other again but I'm glad I met you." i smiled, he also smiled and saluted and the car left.

Van's POV

"Sir, here's the representative of Jire company hoping for your approval." Austin said while I was drinking my coffee in my office.

It's been a month after that happened and I never saw Elaine after that incident. I'm not saying that I want to see her. Also, Sera and I talked and her contract changed so until now she is not coming home.

"Sir this is Luke Horelia, the representative of Jire company." I was shocked to see who it was, but he was even more shocked after seeing me.

"You?? I mean hi sir, I am the representative of Jire company, hoping that y-you will approve the partnership of o-our company to your c-company." he was uttering while saying those words. I smiled.

"Tell the Jire Company that I will approve the partnership of our company to their company." I said and I saw Luke smile.

"But only if they will fire this young man over here." I said, we're just around the same age but it looked cool if I said the word young man, so yeah.
