It took me ages of coaxing just to tuck her into bed.

The moment I turned to leave, she grabbed my wrist.

“Don’t go!”

“Please don’t leave me!”

Tears actually started streaming down her cheeks.

I had no choice but to hold her close.

A sweet smile returned to her face.

“Look closely, Trisha. I am Nina’s husband. We can’t do this.”

“Nina? Didn’t she get a divorce? You are lying to me!”

She wrapped her arms around my waist and pressed her cheek against my chest, breathing heavily.

“Don’t leave... please don’t go...” she whimpered.

Meanwhile, Nina’s heavy snoring echoed from the master bedroom.

“What is wrong with me?”

“How am I any worse than Nina?”

“I fell for you the very first time I saw you!”

Trisha clung to me tightly, babbling drunken nonsense.

“You have had too much to drink,” I whispered.

Instead of calming her down, my words only triggered her further.

“I didn’t drink too much!”

“Look at me, I am wide awake!”

“I can do everything a woman is supposed to do.”

“Come on, let’s do it right now!”

“Hurry, I want you... It has been so long since someone loved me hard.”

“I am giving you permission, just this once. If you miss this chance, it is gone forever!”

She mumbled incoherently before collapsing backward onto the pillow, fast asleep again.

Across the hall, my wife’s rhythmic snoring continued.

Her provocative words echoed loudly in my head, driving my adrenaline through the roof.

I desperately wanted to take things further.

Yet a shred of moral restraint held me back.

Before I could make sense of my thoughts, Trisha sat up abruptly.

She threw her arms around my waist and crashed her lips onto mine.
