Chapter 2

I didn't issue a statement. I didn't post a single response.

I turned off all notifications and left every industry group chat. The only apps I used were for food delivery and calling my mom.

During that time, I poured all my energy into one thing. I wanted to create a masterpiece.

It wasn't a commercial. It wasn't a trend. It was a series I had wanted to do for a year: a deep dive into the visual language of classic cinema.

I had been planning this series for six months but never had the time. Now, I had all the time in the world.

Being dropped by the agency meant I had no commercial burdens. Being mocked by the internet gave me the most expensive luxury of all: focused isolation.

In the afternoon, I wrote scripts and drew storyboards. At night, I edited until two in the morning.

I also spent a lot of time analyzing what went wrong.

Regarding the contract trap, I contacted a friend who was a copyright lawyer. We found three loopholes that worked in my favor. It wouldn't fix everything immediately, but the contract wasn't bulletproof.

I also documented the smear campaign. I took screenshots of the bots, the timestamps, and the account sources.

I organized everything into a massive file. I planned to release it when the time was right.

But not yet.

Right now, the work was the only thing that mattered.

Great work is more convincing than any argument.

My mom called every few days to ask if I was eating and sleeping. I told her I was fine, and she said she believed in me.

That simple sentence meant everything. She knew I wasn't broken.
