Chapter 2
chapter 2
A simple dinner will take place, but Hashana will win the battle because of the fear and trepidation he feels. With her silver sleeveless fitted backless dress paired with her three inches black stilleto heels. Hashana was ready enough to meet Rheo's parents.
he just couldn't count how many times he sighed while being carried in his girlfriend's car. Tonight they agreed with the young man to meet his parents. His palm has been sweating since earlier. Who wouldn't be nervous when you are introduced to the parents of the person you love? I just hope its parents are kind.
"Relax, love."
He was overwhelmed by Rheo's encouragement. One hand was holding his palm while the other was on the steering wheel.
Hashana's breathing became deep as the man's car entered the high and large gate. He was almost overwhelmed by the size of the house in front of him. She wasn't expected as such an elite house. At that time he realized that Rheo's family was just too rich. He was more and more nervous especially when he saw the maid standing in line when they entered the house.
The white tiles they step on are very smooth. The huge chandeliers on the ceiling are the first to grab attention. every corner has physical antiques as if each arrangement was really well planned for the beauty of the arrangement.
Hashana's eyes were filled with the beautiful sight he saw. He and Rheo continued to walk. One of his arms was wrapped around her waist.
"Son, I'm glad you came. is this Hashana?"
An elegant woman greeted them. Hashana was a little embarrassed because she looked younger because she was white and beautiful.
"Yeah. This is my girlfriend, mom, Hashana. Hashana, this is my mom."
Hashana smiled cautiously before kissing the girl. it looks kind, especially since its voice is very soft.
"I am happy to meet you, iha. How many times has this Rheo told me about you."
Hashana turned to the boyfriend when the lady revealed that. Rheo winked at the girl to impress her. He laughed and so did his mother.
"By the way, mom, where's dad?"
He also turned around. The big smile on the lady's lips faded and they smiled raw.
"Still not home. But don't worry, I'll call."
he left them so Rheo led him to the dining room. They said they will wait for them there.
"Clifton," Rhesa calmly called her husband on the other line. "Where are you? Rheo is here. Didn't I remind you that we had a dinner with his girlfriend?"
the woman rubbed her forehead without getting an answer from her husband. "Go home. We'll wait for you."
"I had a lot of work to do, Rhesa."
The woman was silent. He took a deep breath for a while.
"Open that first. Be with us tonight. Rheo will find you."
that's all and Rhesa herself cut the call. The two went to the dining room.
"What did dad say, mom?" Rheo when the mother sat in the empty wooden chair.
"He's coming, son."
The woman glanced at Hashana and then she smiled. good thing his son picked a right woman. Because his son had already brought several women who were only beautiful. It is obvious that they only want money from Rheo.
The three just started dinner because Rheo's father seems to be taking a long time to arrive. they were in the middle of eating when they heard the heavy footsteps of shoes.
"I'm sorry, I'm late."
His deep and full voice dominated the room. At around eleven, Hashana looked up because she was nervous about the man's authoritative voice. he saw her fixing some small strands of her hair that were falling out. The man combed your hair slowly. But just as he looked up, he went straight to her. Hashana's breath was almost cut off by his melting gaze. It was only for a moment because he turned his attention to his wife.
"Join us, Clifton." Rhesa's offer to her husband to which Clifton nodded.
Hashana is distinguished by the formal gesture of the couple. He turned to Rheo when he put a pork steak on his plate.
"Dad, this is Hashana, my girlfriend. The one that I told you."
The girl's throat went dry when her eyes met with Clifton's again. His eyebrows rose slightly as he woke up to her.
"Glad to see you. Did you start working?"
He blinked at this sudden question. the depth of the voice.
"Uh, yes. Thank you for the recommendation."
He answered in surprise. He didn't think he would talk to him. He has been working at the hospital for a few days. That's why he didn't see the man at the hospital when he had work. after all, it is unlikely that he will meet him because of the size of the establishment.
"I only did that for Rheo. You thank him, not me."
Hashana pinched her palms. He bowed his head in shame.
"Okay, let's close this topic. Let's eat."
Rheo's mother intervened. they continued eating silently. While the girl was just feeling the surroundings. He is not used to this silence. He noticed that the couple did not even talk.
"Thank you for coming, iha. I hope you can visit here next time."
The girl smiled widely as she kissed Rhesa. The groom was leaving and they led them to the door. The husband was just next to the woman watching them silently.
"Thank you for the dinner too, aunt. I enjoyed it."
"We'll go ahead, mom, dad."
"Okay, son.take care, okay?"
Rheo nodded then grabbed her by the waist. He waved to the young man's parents before they entered the car. It was only there that he breathed a sigh of relief after entering. He used up all his energy.
"Where are you going, Clifton? Let's talk."
before the husband could leave, Rhesa stopped him. The woman calmly sat on the single sofa while waking up to the man with his back turned.
The children had just left and she knew her husband was trying to leave again. It's always like this. What else is new?
"What do you want to talk about? spill it now. I still have many things to do."
Clifton looked at his wife in disgust. He wanted to laugh inside because the woman was still wearing their ring. Hers, she hasn't worn in a long time. He had already forgotten where it was placed.
"Is it working again? don't you have any other reason? You hardly ever show up here at home."
"Don't you have anything else to say? I have to go."
"I don't like your rudeness earlier, Clifton. You embarrassed the boy earlier. Rheo was disappointed of what you said to Hashana."
"Did I say wrong? I'm just stating the fact. I only do that for Rheo. I am here now only for him. Now, stop dragging Rheo in this conversation. I'll go ahead."
The woman did nothing when Clifton left the house. Disappointed, he looked after his wife. He changed. He really changed a lot.
