**Muriel's POV**

The sounds of the birds chirping outside the window woke me up and for a moment I was asking myself where I was. When I remembered I was in Amsterdam I smiled excitedly and I think I've actually been smiling ever since I left Germany that means I'm still on the right track to eternal happiness.

I stood up from the bed and this time it wasn't sluggishly I brought out my phone to play some music because I am really excited right now. I searched for Avicii because I really love all of the music from Avicii, they're filled with life. The first song that popped up was 'wake me up'. let's start from this little guy here.

I danced around the hotel room laughing as I was brushing my teeth. This morning all I could feel is happiness, I took my bath, wore my clothes, this time it was a gown because I wear gowns when I'm in a good mood. I applied some light make-up on while sitting in front of the mirror and I can actually see for my self my glooming eyes and my face was bright.

I walked towards my box,opened it and brought out a small framed picture of my dad.

"I'll make you proud dad"I said as I rubbed the picture with my thumb. I kept it back in the box and zipped the box. My stomach growled, I should probably go find something to eat.

I stepped outside my hotel room, and went down the stairs. I peeked at myself on the mirror along the stairs.

"Good morning" I said to the receptionist. It wasn't the one that attended to me yesterday but I guess today might be her off day.

I went outside the hotel and I could see people on their bicycles preparing to go to their daily jobs. I'll probably search for a job after I eat something because I'm actually starving right now.

I checked Google map for any place I could eat something this morning. I saw one that looks good maybe it attracted me because the name of the restaurant was actually ' cravings ' and hell I'm craving for a food right now.

The restaurant wasn't far from where I was so I just looked at the directions and walked towards there. I got there in less than 10minutes. I could see the big sign saying cravings at the top of the restaurant. I walked into the restaurant and it was actually a café but with yummy cakes because I could actually perceive the aroma of baked foods. Holy shit I'm salivating already,I cleaned my mouth and looked round to check if no one saw me. fortunately for me no one saw that.....well except for the lady staring at me rn.

Great, now she's going to think I'm one weird girl, she was still staring at me but later averted her attention to the espresso she was making. She looked more of my age with short hairs that was packed in a pony tail. She's pretty.

I spotted an empty sit and sat down there. The lady that was staring at me earlier walked towards me.

"What can I offer you?" She asked.

"Uhmmm...."

I looked at the huge menu board on the wall

"I think I'll have some milkshake and cupcakes, make it 3 cupcakes".

" That'll be 5 dollars"

"Okay" I said.

She left and I was still sitting staring outside the glass windows. I saw a job vacancy sign on the glass I stood up to check what it reads from outside the café. "Wow" I'm happy already

It's more like everything is in my favor. I went back into where I was sitting and the lady from before came with my orders. Immediately I saw the food my tummy growled again but this time it was really loud.

"Thank you" I said to her.

She was about to leave when I came back to my senses that I needed to ask her of the job.

"Excuse me" I said

"Yeah!!?" She responded. I think I'm bothering her already because her face looks like she can flip the table right in front on me right now.

"Is there a job vacancy?"

"Yes"

"How do I apply?"

"There" she pointed towards a door with a 'manager' tag on it.

"What's your name?" I asked But this time she didn't reply she went back to the counter. There was a guy there also of maybe my age or a year older, he was staring at me and now I'm curious to know what they're talking about. He gave me a smile and I returned the smile.

I rushed the food I was eating because I needed to apply for this job already.

I stood up and walked towards the manager's office. I knocked twice and opened the door, the manager which is a man looked at me.

"Good morning sir" I said

"I assume you're here for the job"

"Yes sir"

"Please do call me John, I'm not comfortable with all the 'sir' coming from you". He sounds nice, aren't I lucky.

"Okay si.... okay John" I smiled.

"You're getting it already" he smiled too

"About the job, you're to come here 4 times a week and you'll be paid every week"

"You'll be paid 50 dollars for the first 2 weeks of you being here then afterwards you'll be paid a hundred dollars and if you're really dedicated to this job you might be lucky to be paid 200 dollars after your first 3 months" "Let's just say your pay increases as your dedication increases"

"So are you in for the job or you're not interested"

"Hell I'm in for the job, when do I start?"

"Tomorrow morning 7am"

"Okay, thank you John" I said while smiling happily. He saw the smile and he smiled too

"You're welcome" he said "So I should see you here by 7am tomorrow, you don't want to be late on your first day".

"Yes sir" I chuckled after realizing I said sir

"You'll get used to it" he replied with a smile.
