Chapter 3 A terrible mistake

Danielle’s anxiety increased when Freda whispered to her that the time was right. She was led through the elevator to the hotel at the upper floors of the club.

“This is our chance to swap, the man will be here soon so you have to be ready,” Freda informed.

“How will I get the money?”

“When you’re done with him, he will transfer the money to you. Once it’s morning, I’ll be back so we can leave together.”

“Thank you.”

Danielle entered the spacious room. She turned off the lights, so that the man would not be able to see her face. Then she laid on the bed and wait for him arrive.

The moment the door opened, Danielle’s heart skipped a beat. A strong scent hit her nose and his dominant aura made her to tremble. Luckily for her, he did not complain about the lights but instead he reached out to touch her face.

“Sit up,” his strong voice ordered.

She obeyed and sits up, her face coming closer to his.

“Kiss me,” he ordered again.

Danielle wanted to grumble about his commands but held herself, remembering that she had to play her part well if she wanted the money. She kissed his lips but accidentally bites his upper lips.

The man hissed, “A bad kisser.”

“Sorry,” Danielle muttered.

He squeezed her bosom lightly and guided her hands to his core, she shivered as she rubbed his hard rod and a slight moan escaped her lips.

“Is this your first time?” he asked.

“No,” she lied. She figured out that he might be mad to know that she is a virgin so to be on the safer side, she had to act like a professional.

She rubs him harder and this time, he moans out. The next play takes Danielle by surprise, he tears off her clothes and removes his too. When she sees his rod, Danielle gasps in fear thinking that this will not fit inside of her. Her lips began to itch to tell him the truth.

Then he trailed kisses on her neck and Danielle’s mind was pulled into another universe. A sharp pain is felt at her right neck, Danielle screams as the pain jabs her skin.

He had marked her as his mate, but why? She grabs his shoulders when she feels his rod penetrating inside her roughly, she screams as a second pain shots through her system. The man cussed as he pulled out of her, he suddenly put his clothes on and stumbled out of the room.

Danielle tried to call him back, at least to pay her the money but he was long gone. The pains were excruciating and too much for her to bear, the mark on her neck was burning as it began to form a scar that can never disappear.

Danielle held the sheets tighter, the pains in between her legs had gone into a whole new level. Why did she put herself in such a mess?

Now her virginity was gone without any price to pay for it. She should have allowed Freda to take her job since she was experienced in it. She manages to text Freda to bring extra clothes when she comes to pick her up, she slowly endures the pain until sleep overcomes her.

The next morning, Freda is shocked to see her friend in an uptight position. She looked as good as dead and blood stains on the sheets.

“Danielle, are you okay?” Freda asked.

“No, I'm not.”

Danielle showed Freda the mark on her neck, Freda gasped.

“How could he do this to you?” Freda raked.

Danielle burst in sobs, “Thats not the worst part. He abandoned me, Freda. After breaking my virginity, he left without dropping a dime.”

Freda slumped on the bed, not knowing what to say anymore. Danielle showered up quickly and changed her clothes, she and Freda exited the club quietly until they got to the car.

“I have to report him to my manager, “ Freda blurts out.

Danielle shakes her head, “You can't do that. He will find out that we swapped and might even punish you for that.”

“But you're hurt and you need the money badly,” Freda whined.

“I can not implicate you in my mistake, Freda. After all, he asked me and I lied to him. Maybe that was why he went too hard on me.”

Freda sighed, she was worried that her friend might bleed to death. But Danielle kept assuring her that everything was okay. Danielle's phone rings, she becomes scared because it is her manager.

“Where the hell are you, Danielle?” ANGELA barked.

“I'm on my way to work, ma'am.”

“So you think you can come to work as you please. You are fired!”

“But ma’am…”

Her manager hung up, Danielle burst into tears for the second time.

“Dani, what's wrong?”

“My manager just fired me.”

“What?”

“Just take me to the nearest pharmacy so I can get some pain reliefs.”

Danielle could not believe her worst fate happening in less than twenty-four hours that she met that stranger. Now she is grateful for the lights that were off, it would have been shameful to collide with him in public.

With the remaining twelve thousand dollars in her bag, she purchased drugs and food to back it up. Freda took her home, Danielle is relieved that her parents are not at home to see her in this horrible condition .

“I’m going to stay and wait until you get better,” Freda said.

“I just want to be alone, Freda.”

“If you say so,” Freda agreed and left her alone.

The painful memories cloud her head as she thought about it again. The man’s voice was mesmerizing at first, she has felt butterflies in her stomach when he was close to her. But those feelings of ecstasy disappeared when he marked her, she realized that she had made a terrible mistake.

Now she is stuck with a mate who is a coward and a huge debt that might kill her parents in a few days.
