Chapter 2 COMING THROUGH FOR HER

The voice tried to comfort me, and I cut it out with my question. Instantly, the voice kept mute, and I felt it pull away. The whole thing was scary and weird. The voice sounded like a female, like she had known me since birth. My body began to itch gradually until it grew in intensity, and I felt like it was on fire. The forest didn't seem so dark anymore, and I felt my vision had also improved. "My stomach ... ahaaaa! Oh, my stomach! I groaned out in pain; the pain had moved down to my stomach, and my intestines were turning brutally. I felt my bones moving away from their rightful places and shooting out of my skin. My voice pierced the forest, and I no longer cared if Luca had found me.

The pain was unbearable and excruciating. I felt like life was being dragged out of my heart. Luca's voice reached my ears again, but I ignored it and focused on what was happening to me instead. The bone movement stopped, but the pain was still there. I dragged my mirror out of my bag with trembling hands and stared at myself in the mirror, but what I saw made me throw the mirror away at once. It wasn't my face staring back at me but a doglike animal. To be sincere, the animal looked so cute and innocent with its hairy cream-coloured fur and cute yellow eyes. The Animal grinned back at me like it was teasing and intentionally trying to scare me. Before throwing the mirror away in fright, I yelled and laughed. The whole thing was almost turning me into a mad person. The animal tried to get into my head again, but I closed my eyes and removed the voice from my head. It looked like a very big dog but much more hairy. I was scared of it, but I also felt attached to it. I sensed Luca a few feet from me and knew he would find me in no time. "I'm a beautiful animal," I whispered, trying to find a hiding place. Someone pranced on me from the bush, and we tumbled together into the ground. I opened my mouth to scream, but a weak growl came out instead; the firm hand covered my mouth and threw me over the shoulder like I weighed nothing. Everything happened so fast and immediately; my soft animal fur came in contact with the strange man's sturdy and very muscular body. I felt a very deep and strong connection and pain in my chest; I whimpered and tried to look at the face of the man. He may be able to explain what is happening to me. ****************

Ryda's P.O.V

All through her shifting ritual, I was there, watching and staying alert in case she needed my help, but she proved herself to be very strong for someone who didn't know about her real Identity. "He's getting closer...he's almost here," my beta whispered the update of my mate's boyfriend into my ear, and I nodded in acknowledgment; I needed to take her out of the bush before he got to her. Of course, I didn't like the idea of another man hanging around my woman, but I couldn't do much about it before tonight. That's because the moon goddess made it compulsory for Cora to be eighteen years old and get her wolf before I had any contact with her. I have followed her for years and knew she would be mine since age three. She grew up in the human world, making it difficult for me to see her daily, but I placed some guards with her to watch and protect her daily. "It's almost over ... today is the day," I heard Fridolf say from behind me. He had insisted on going with me to take my mate and had been quiet until now. He patted me as I watched my mate scream and yell in pain. My heart crumbled and twisted at her pain and tears, but I needed her to get her wolf before I claimed her as mine. Finally, it happened, and I rushed out of my hiding place with my leather jacket in hand. She would change back to her human form once I touched her, and she would be naked; I don't want any other man to see her nakedness. I bundled her up into my chest, and she tried to look at my face. Knowing that she would ask questions once she opened her eyes to me, I touched her inner senses with my abilities and forced her into sleep. I smiled mockingly as she slept at once in my arms. Using a jacket to cover her now naked body, I moved swiftly to the fleets of cars packed behind the forest as I took my mate for the first time in my life. I swore never to let her boyfriend smell her again, let alone to come close to her.

"Mine!" I growled softly. Her eyes opened slightly from her drowsiness, and she looked confused, which was so cute before I could stop myself. I seized her tempting full Lips into mine and kissed her like my life depended on it. "Coraa!" I heard Luca's worried voice and groaned loudly in frustration. Every bone in my body wanted to squeeze his neck for calling my mate and disrupting our kiss, but I fought against it and entered my car instead, ordering my driver to drive us back to the Royal mansion. I have much explaining to do to my mate, and I would gladly do that. Whether she likes it or not, she's mine and will never set her eyes on Luca again.
