Chapter 3

Chapter 3

My cousin mentioned that everyone at home missed Christopher and insisted he come back with her today. From her excited expression, I could tell she was quite fond of her newly-met cousin. Because of this, she seemed a bit wary of me, his personal secretary. However, Christopher stated that as his personal secretary, I had to follow him wherever he went. So, I had to accompany him to the Sutton family mansion.

Out of curiosity about Christopher, I agreed to this arrangement. Late at night, I followed Christopher into the mysterious Sutton family mansion. Outside the mansion, a group of servants were waiting at the door to greet us. The butler informed us that Ian had passed away last month, and Mrs. Sutton was so heartbroken that she had been hospitalized and would return in a few days.

The Sutton family had believed Christopher was dead, and with Ian having no other heirs, they had planned to donate the billion-dollar estate to a charity. Now that Christopher had returned, the estate finally had an heir.

In the backyard of the Sutton family mansion, there were many stray cats, and for some reason, they all loved to gather around Christopher. Christopher also seemed to adore these cats, opening numerous cans of food for them. He even squatted beside them, enjoying the canned food alongside the cats.

Due to my role as Christopher's personal secretary, I had many opportunities to appear in the media. My best friend noticed my frequent appearances and warned me. She said that Christopher had a bad reputation abroad and was surrounded by many women. She mentioned that Christopher's previous car accident was due to a love affair. She advised me to keep my distance from Christopher outside of work.

But how could that be possible? Christopher practically kept me by his side at all times. He even asked me to go back to my previous residence to pack my things and move directly to his place so that I could be at his beck and call. Who could refuse someone as good-looking as Christopher? I was more than willing to live with him.

One day, while I was at home packing my things to move, Archie called. Seeing it was Archie, I quickly hung up. Ever since Christopher came into my life, I had almost forgotten about Archie. Archie kept calling, and soon there was a knock on the door. He was outside, calling my name. Neighbors started to gather, and feeling it was causing a disturbance, I opened the door and let him in.

Archie was delighted to see me, holding a large basket filled with wriggling snakes. He said he knew I loved eating snake and wanted to show off his cooking skills. It was always like this; after getting bored outside, he would come back to please me. Soon, a pot of exotic soup was brought out from the kitchen, filling the house with its aroma.

Just as I was about to dig in, the doorbell rang again with a delivery. Archie took the box from the delivery person, and when he opened it, a cute little kitten jumped out. Archie apologized profusely, admitting that when I moved last time, he had thrown my pampered cat, Gabriela, into the wild, where it likely died. To make up for it, he brought me a new kitten.

I was furious, realizing the tragic fate of my beloved Gabriela. I decided to find a spiritual healer to perform a ceremony for her. Archie then brought up my recent frequent TV appearances, warning me that Christopher's company was strange and couldn't be found online. He advised me to be cautious, including with Christopher himself.

Archie said, "I looked into it with the police. This Christopher has a suspicious identity. He died in a car accident a month ago. It's a solid fact."

That's everything available right now.
