Chapter 2 Our Love Affairs

"Hi, Ada!" greeting that raised my eyes since I was busy computing my earnings for today in the boutique.

"Oh? Ian, I am about to close the boutique. Do you have anything to purchase?" I asked him.

"I just passed by here before I went home to our house. Ada, I would like to take you out tomorrow night," Ian directly invited me.

"I am sorry, I could not close the boutique, so I will not be able to come with you." I immediately rejected him.

"Are you still mad at me for what happened in the past? Don't you still believe my explanations?" Ian implored.

FLASHBACK...

"Ada, I like Ian, so when he flirts with you, do not give him a chance." let out Ava unexpectedly.

"What are you saying?" I asked Ava with a grimace.

"I like him. Is that hard to understand?" Ava begged again.

I could not comprehend what she was telling me because Ian was not confiding me anything either. Ian is pleasant to me because he is our friend. Mama and Aunt Monica are also friends. Ian, Ava, and I have been together since grade school. They are also living near our house.

Until we reached junior high, I was surprised to learn that my twin sister was Ian's girlfriend. I will confess, I also like Ian as a man. He is handsome, intelligent, and kind. But we were still young, so I did not think to take seriously the relationship that Ava and Ian had.

PRESENT...

Ian deciphered to me the events when we were still in junior high. He said he wanted me and not Ava, but Ava stated to him that she would be dissatisfied with me if Ian pursued courting me. Ian was just a boy, and he conceded with my twin.

Ever since Ava left our province, Ian has also started courting me. He also has a good job now, and according to him, he can build a family and give them a bright future.

"I am sorry if I would interrupt your conversation. Ada, come with Ian. I can take care of the boutique." Mom was listening to us.

"Oh, Aunt Alice approved our date, Ada. I hope you would concur too." smiling Ian mumbled.

"All right, I will come with you tomorrow night." I also agreed.

My boutique is just in front of our house. After closing it, Mom and I went home.

"Ada, let yourself be happy. You are old enough to have a boyfriend. And I am confident that Ian is a good person. Ever since your Dad passed away, you have not stopped working. Take a vacation. Take a break!” As Mom stroked my long hair.

"I promised myself, Mom, since Dad passed away that I would be your partner. I know you had a hard time adjusting when he died. I hope my presence is enough to make you joyous, Mom. That is all I want, to see you delighted even without Dad." I struck a smile.

"I am happy because you did not leave me. I have accepted that your Dad has to go. Thank you, Ada; you are still here by my side." Mom hugged me.

FLASHBACK...

"Let's go, Ada, Ava!" moaned Mom.

"Where will we go?" Ava asked.

"Your Dad is in the hospital. He had an accident!" Mom said, baffled.

Ava and I instantly complied with Mom's invitation. My heart is beating so quickly because of the nervousness. Aboard the jeepney, we went to the hospital, where Dad was rushed.

"Dad, Daddy!" Ava called.

Ava was closer to Dad while I was closer to Mom. But I both love our parents dearly. It is easy for Dad to approve of our wishes while Mom is the disciplinarian between them.

"What happened to my husband?" Mom begged the nurse.

"The patient is still in the Operating Room; let us wait for the doctor to come out." the clear answer of the nurse.

I remained tight-lipped but repeatedly prayed that Dad would be all right. At the same time, Ava was moaning and calling Dad's name.

"Doctor, doctor, is my Dad okay?" Ava asked when a doctor came out of the Operating Room.

"Are you Josh Moore's family?" the doctor inquired.

"Yes, I am his wife. How is my husband?" Mom implored.

"I am sorry, he did not make it. He is gone!" the doctor announced softly.

It was as if heaven and earth were covering us with what the doctor asserted. Dad was dead. Dad was an engineer and had an accident at the construction site where he worked. At fifteen, Ava and I were orphaned by a father.

"If only we had more money, Dad would not die. If only we were rich, they would do everything to keep Dad alive. If you just helped Dad work, you would save a lot for his treatment!" said Ava, unawares while sobbing.

"Josh, Josh, why did you abandon the twins and me?" was the only thing Mom uttered.

Ever since Dad perished, Ava has been filled with resentment for Mom. She blames Mom for the loss of our father. So, all the decisions she made for herself, she fulfilled without informing our mother. I felt sorry for Mom because I knew she was not to denounce Dad's loss.

Their Point-of-Views

"Hey, Sabina, where is your Dad?" Ava asked the child who was currently playing by the poolside of the mansion.

"He is not here yet, Mommy Ava!" Sabie answered promptly.

"Do not even call me Mommy. I get disgruntled when I hear that from you." rebuke Ava.

"Daddy told me to call you Mom." Sabie reasoned out.

"I am not your mother. Your mother left you because she did not want you. Especially me, I do not want you to be my child." Ava stated.

Sabie just sobbed because of what Ava told her. Instead of pitying the child, Ava grinned and left the girl helpless.

FLASHBACK...

"Hon, is my lingerie nice?" Ava asked Treyton one night.

"Yeah! You are as gorgeous as always!" while Treyton was still involved with what he was working out in front of his laptop.

"Enough for work! I will be the one to work for you, Hon!" and Ava smooched Treyton's ear.

"Are you ready to give me a baby?" Treyton's simple question.

"Let us enjoy each other before we have a baby. Please, Hon!" Ava pleaded.

Having a child is a big issue for Treyton and Ava. Treyton expects them to have his child with Ava, but Ava thwarted herself from being pregnant. She wished to enjoy the wealth of Treyton Roberts.

Ava had a lot of expectations from their married life. They will always leave the mansion and go on vacation to different countries. Treyton would buy her expensive bags, shoes, and clothes. They will have intercourse every night and even in the morning when they wake up.

He was so attracted to Treyton’s physical attributes that she desired to taste them daily. Not everything Ava expected ensued. Treyton is a busy man. And he always prefers to be with his child. Yes, they had vacations in different countries like Hongkong, England, Korea, and many more but with Sabina.

Treyton gave her a card where she could decide on what to buy for herself. She was doing stuff on her own. Their s*x life went boring as time went by. Treyton comes home very exhausted and would rest and get some sleep. Ava was frustrated with their predicament and failed from her probabilities.
