"Sierra Monroe, what the hell are you talking about?" Kieran's face went pale.

I ignored him, took the microphone from the officiant, and spoke clearly. "Friends and family, my apologies for the scene today. The wedding will continue, but with a new bride. For all of my family's guests, please join me on the second floor. I've arranged for a new reception. Think of it as a party for us. All gifts will be returned."

I handed the mic back and walked off the stage to my parents.

They had never been so humiliated in their lives.

All because of their foolish daughter.

"Mom, Dad, I'm so sorry."

My mother looked at me with pure heartache, but my father was calm. "You're an adult, Sierra. You're responsible for your own choices. You handle this. We'll take care of our guests."

My eyes instantly welled up.

"Dad, Mom, let's go."

"Sierra, you get back here!" Kieran’s enraged voice echoed behind me.

I asked my parents to lead our friends and family upstairs first. I told them I’d handle things and be right up.

Once they were gone, I turned to face the man I had loved for seven years.

His eyes were cold. "Sierra, are you serious? You're making a scene over something so small in front of all these people."

"This is our wedding day. How could you embarrass me like this?"

He actually thought I was making a scene.

How fucking hilarious.

In his eyes, kissing Chloe in front of our entire guest list was just a "small thing." I was the one being unreasonable for getting upset.

And here I was, foolishly hoping he might realize his mistake and apologize.

What a fucking joke.

Seeing me silent, Chloe began her little performance.

"Sierra, please don't fight with Kieran. You're being so petty."

"Kieran just feels sorry for me since I'm planning to be single forever. He only promised I could experience what a wedding feels like. I'm not trying to steal him from you."

Kieran's friends all started chiming in.

"Yeah, Sierra, don't overreact. When you love someone, you have to accept all of them. You know Chloe is his platonic soulmate. It's never been a problem before."

"Sierra, a good man like Kieran is hard to find. Don't let a moment of anger make you regret this for the rest of your life."

"It's because he's marrying you that Chloe decided to never get married! What's wrong with her getting a little taste of it at your wedding?"

They stood there, lecturing me, all while wearing designer suits and watches that I had paid for.

I still said nothing. I just watched them.

Kieran's parents started to panic.

"Sierra, honey, it's your big day. Don't stoop to his level."

"His father is right. This is a marriage, not a game. You can't just call it quits halfway through. Just finish the ceremony. Couples fight and make up. It'll be fine."

"Kieran, come over here and apologize to Sierra."

Kieran looked down at me, his eyes full of contempt.

"If she's got the guts, she'll break up with me. She'll never marry me."

"Fine. Then we're done."
