Chapter 1

1

My sister, Sarah, was a self-proclaimed do-gooder.

A passenger was groped just as our plane was about to take off, and Sarah stepped in to "do the right thing."

The captain practically begged her to wait until we landed before calling the police, not wanting to disrupt everyone else's travel plans.

But Sarah insisted on calling the police right then and there. The resulting delay caused significant losses for the airline, and one passenger missed seeing her father before he passed away.

I used all my savings to compensate the passengers, apologizing profusely to avoid legal action. Yet, Sarah received praise for her "brave act."

She once saw two guys arguing on the street and tried to break up the fight, single-handedly.

Trying to save her, I was stabbed in the uterus by one of the men, leaving me infertile. Sarah, meanwhile, basked in the glory of her "good deed."

Because she believed in "helping others," she slept with my husband, claiming she wanted to have a son for me.

When I confronted them, my husband's family kicked me out, leaving me with nothing.

I pleaded with Sarah, reminding her of all the times I'd helped her.

She sneered, "You can't have kids and you're still a burden. I'm doing you a favor, and you're complaining!"

"My kindness isn't for a ungrateful person like you! My success is because of my goodness, nothing to do with you!"

I died of a broken heart.

Then I woke up, back on that day Sarah insisted on calling the police on the plane.

...

The captain and all the flight attendants knelt before Sarah.

"Ma'am, we promise to call the police as soon as we land. We'll make sure justice is served."

"Any further delay will prevent other flights from taking off, and the company will face huge losses. We hope you understand."

A mother and daughter also knelt before her.

"Please, ma'am," the mother pleaded, "We saved up for these tickets. If we miss this flight, my daughter and I won't see my husband one last time. It will haunt us forever."

Her daughter tugged at Sarah's hand. "Please, sister, can we just let the plane take off and call the police later? My dad's in the hospital, waiting to see me."

Other passengers felt sorry for them and urged Sarah to wait.

Sarah frowned at the mother and daughter, her voice dripping with disdain.

"Don't you have any sense of justice? She was sexually assaulted, and you only care about yourselves!"

"Helping others is the right thing to do. Have you people lost your minds?"

"It was her this time, next time it could be you. Protecting this woman is protecting yourselves in the future!"
