On the eve of my 30th birthday, I saw a pair of concert tickets on Gia's desk.

I thought she was planning a surprise for me. Instead, on the day of my birthday, she told me she had to work late.

My stomach was cramping so hard I couldn't sleep, so I scrolled through her ex-boyfriend's Instagram.

"At eighteen, I wished to see the Starry Night concert with you. Today, it finally came true. I'm just glad you're by my side."

The photo showed the concert crowd. Gia was sitting in Zach's lap, looking into his eyes with pure adoration.

I calmly turned off my screen. I didn't even want to argue.

We had been together for so long. I just wanted to let both of us go.
