My sister and I were reborn on the day of our adoption.

She grabbed the hand of the man who sold meat in my previous life and said, "Sir, let me be your daughter."

She knew that in a year, this butcher would become a billionaire, while the wealthy couple who adopted her would go bankrupt.

I just smiled when I heard that.

I could tell at a glance she wanted to steal my successful life from the past.

What she didn't know was that the man only became a legend because the person he adopted was me.

Without me, he would be nothing but a butcher for the rest of his life.

One was a local butcher from the wet market, and the other was a famous power couple in the city.

My sister, Seraphina, acted all sweet and cute until the wealthy couple agreed to take her.

"I don't want anyone else stealing your love."

She didn't care that I was her own sister.

Left with no choice, I was taken in by the butcher.

The wealthy couple went bankrupt, and their assets were seized, leaving Seraphina on the streets.

Meanwhile, the man who adopted me rose from a simple butcher to the most powerful mogul in the city.

With his backing, I became a top executive and a high-ranking board member, feared by everyone.

But Seraphina stole my company's trade secrets. When I caught her and tried to take her to the police station, she lost it.

She lunged at the steering wheel, screaming and kicking the driver like a maniac.

"Seline, you bitch! You just got lucky with a good dad!" she shrieked.

"Why do you get to live better than me? It's not fair!"

"If you're going to put me in jail, I'm taking you to hell with me!"

With a deafening crash, the car smashed through the highway railing and plummeted into the river.

I died instantly along with the officers in the car.

When I opened my eyes again, I saw Seraphina holding a man's hand, acting like an angel.

"Sir, please adopt me," she pleaded.

"I eat very little, and I'm very obedient. I promise I won't be a burden."

That man was Jude Tanner, the butcher who had been my father in the previous life.

I almost laughed out loud. I saw right through her.

She had been reborn too, and she was trying to steal my father to hijack my glorious future.

A sophisticated woman standing nearby looked awkward. She said to Seraphina, "Sweetie, our family is very rich. I'll spoil you. Wouldn't you rather come with us?"

Seraphina's face twisted as if she had seen a ghost. She spat on the ground right in front of them.

"Your family is going bankrupt soon. What kind of life is that?"

She turned back to the butcher, hugging his arm with a fake smile. "Mr. Tanner, I don't know why, but I feel so connected to you."

"You have the face of a king. You're going to be so successful one day."

"Please, take me. I'll be the best daughter you ever had."

I really wanted to roar with laughter.

In our last life, she was the one who looked down on him for being a butcher.

She was the one who spat on his face back then.

Now, just because she knew he would become a boss, she was willing to crawl at his feet.

In this new life, I finally saw my sister's true colors.

Jude Tanner, probably flattered for the first time in his life, grabbed her hand and laughed. "Fine! From today on, you're my daughter!"

The wealthy man, Mr. Zellweger, was furious. "Cursing us to go bankrupt? How can a child be so wicked?"

"Honey, let's go. We aren't taking her!"

Seraphina's eyes darted around, and she suddenly squeezed out some tears. "I'm sorry, Mr. Zellweger. I said the wrong thing."

She pushed me toward them.

"Please, adopt my sister instead. She'll pay you back one day."

Mr. Zellweger was still fuming, but his wife had a soft heart.

The director of the group home saw an opportunity and started talking them into it.

And so, they decided to adopt me.

I was taken to their mansion, and after a bowl of hot chicken soup, I called them "Mom and Dad."

After the meal, I sent a message to Seraphina: "Do you really think life will be easy just because you followed my old man?"

Seraphina's reply popped up instantly: "Seline, you're reborn too?"

"Doesn't matter. I have Jude now."
