Chapter 2 I Won't Serve You Anymore

The doctor said that the possibility of Ayla waking up was very slim, so Waylon agreed to Stella's request and married her.

But from the day they got married, he had always been cold to her.

Stella raised her chin and looked straight at Waylon without flinching. "I'm your wife. Why should I move out when she comes back?"

Waylon suddenly looked at her, and his face slowly darkened. His eyes became more and more terrifying. "Because Ayla said you hit her with your car six years ago!"

Stella was stunned for a moment. Then she smiled bitterly. "If I say I didn't hit her, will you believe me?"

Waylon approached her step by step until she was trapped in a corner. He said coldly, "Do you think I will believe you?"

He stared at her with dark eyes which were now filled with disgust.

"You're a wicked woman. Do you know what I want right now? I want you to experience what Ayla has suffered." As he spoke, Waylon's face was as cold as ice.

Stella was shocked by the hatred and cruelty in his eyes.

Six years. It had been a long time. But his heart was still cold to her.

"I didn't hit her," Stella said firmly and pursed her lips tightly.

Waylon looked at her condescendingly and said coldly, "You are a smart woman. You should know what to do."

Then he left, leaving only silence in the room.

Stella looked at herself in the mirror. Her face was pale, and she looked tired.

Was this still she?

She used to be a very proud woman. But she became so humble in this relationship.

Wasn't it so ridiculous?

After a while, she took a deep breath and whispered to herself, "It's time to leave. Let go of yourself, Stella."

The next day, Waylon went to the hospital in the morning and accompanied Ayla for her follow-up checkup.

Stella, on the other hand, stood in front of the mirror, took off the apron she had worn almost every day in the past six years, and changed into a white dress. Then she went downstairs with her suitcase.

Adrian was in the living room. He sat on the sofa with his legs crossed, watching TV. When he looked up and saw Stella, he asked, "Hey, where are you going?"

But Stella didn't answer his question. She just glanced at him indifferently and walked toward the door.

Adrian noticed that something was odd. He hurried forward, grabbed her suitcase, and asked again, "Are you deaf? Don't you hear me talking to you? Have you cleaned my room? Have you cooked breakfast? Where are you going so early in the morning?"

This sixteen-year-old boy didn't show any respect to her as his sister-in-law. He was very impolite to her.

Stella pried Adrian's fingers from the suitcase and said coldly, "You little jerk! From now on, I won't serve you anymore."

She didn't use much strength, but he deliberately yelled, "Mom! Mom, come over here! This bitch is bullying me."

"Adrian, what are you yelling? What's wrong?"

As soon as Zoey went downstairs and saw the scene, she got angry. She grabbed the feather duster and beat Stella with it. "My goodness! How dare you bully my son! I'll beat you to death!"

Zoey always beat Stella before. And Stella endured everything because of Waylon.

But this time, she didn't have to endure it anymore.

Stella grabbed the feather duster and threw it to the floor. Then she said coldly, "If you continue to beat me, I'll fight back."

Zoey was stunned. Obviously, she didn't expect Stella would refute her.

When she came back to her senses, she shouted, "How dare you! I will tell my son to divorce you."

In the past, Stella always avoided conflict with Zoey for the sake of Angelina Burton, Waylon's grandmother. And she didn't want Waylon to dislike her.

She used to be afraid of quarreling with Zoey. But now, she didn't care anymore.

So she said indifferently, "It's up to you."

Then she dragged her suitcase and left the Burton family's house, ignoring Zoey's scolding behind her.

A red Ferrari was parked outside, waiting for Stella. There was a handsome man inside the car. He waved at her and said, "Honey, get in the car."

Stella got in the car, and they drove away.
