2.

The moment I hung up, I walked through the front door of my house.

Looking at the rooms filled with our things made my heart ache.

I grabbed some storage bags and started packing all the couple-themed items I had foolishly bought.

"Rainie, what are you doing？"

Ronan came back while I was still lost in my thoughts. I didn't even notice him at first.

It wasn't until he hugged me from behind and started kissing my neck that I snapped back to reality.

I pushed my elbow against him, trying to break free from his touch.

Ronan thought I was just playing hard to get and suddenly lifted me into his arms.

He started walking toward the bedroom.

"When did my Rainie become such a feisty little kitten？ I like this side of you even more."

Ronan looked at me with eyes full of hunger.

I felt a wave of nausea.

I realized Sutton probably wasn't feeling well due to her condition, so he came to me for entertainment.

Knowing his body was dirty made my chest feel like it was blocked by a heavy stone.

"Ronan, put me down. It is not a good time for me today."

I usually got very moody during my cycle.

Seeing my cold expression, Ronan believed me, though disappointment flashed in his eyes.

I turned to leave, but his phone suddenly rang.

The unfamiliar ringtone made me freeze.

I looked back and saw Ronan's eyes were already full of warmth.

"Sutton, what is wrong？"

Even from a few feet away, I could hear Sutton Joy's scream on the other end.

"Sutton! What happened？ Talk to me!"

Ronan's brows furrowed instantly. He pushed me aside and ran toward the front door in a panic.

The door opened from the outside, and Sutton walked in with a huge grin.

"Ronan, did I scare you just now？"

"Sutton..."

Ronan stood there stunned for a second. When he realized she was fine, he checked her over several times.

He let out a sigh of relief and fake-scolded her. "Why are you so childish？ You almost gave me a heart attack."

Sutton looped her arms around his neck, smiling brightly. Then she noticed me clutching my lower back.

"This must be Rainie, right？"

She let go of Ronan and patted his shoulder, her eyes sparkling as she looked at me.

Ronan looked over, his brow twitching slightly. "Yeah."

Seeing that I was staring at them, Sutton finally moved a little further away from him.

She didn't look embarrassed at all about being caught by the actual girlfriend.

Instead, she swayed her hips and walked toward me.

"Hi, Rainie. I am..."

She glanced back at Ronan before speaking slowly. "I am your new neighbor, Sutton Joy."
