Chapter 2

I didn't even need to listen closely to know what she had just been doing.
A violent rage boiled in my chest, screaming at me to confront her right then and there.
Yet I forced myself to swallow the burning words.
They had been planning this for years, and blowing my cover now without concrete evidence would only let them slip away.
I ground my teeth and kept my voice perfectly flat.
"It's all done. You don't have to worry."
Shiloh let out an audible sigh of relief, her tone turning instantly sweet.
"I knew you loved me most, honey. Hurry home, I have a special reward waiting for you tonight."
She hung up abruptly, too impatient to keep talking.
I drove back through the pouring rain, gripping the steering wheel until my knuckles turned white.
When I pushed open the front door, the sound of my two kids giggling filled the living room.
Hearing the door, they turned around and yelled out for their dad in unison.
The second they saw my face, their smiles vanished instantly.
Their little lips pressed into a sullen line, and their eyes filled with visible disappointment.
Without moving an inch toward me, they turned back to each other and resumed whispering, treating me like a total stranger.
A sharp, familiar ache pierced my chest.
It had always been like this, no matter how much love, time, or expensive gifts I showered on them.
Yet whenever Hudson visited, even if he barely paid them any attention, they clung to his legs like glue.
I used to feel hurt and jealous, but Shiloh always dismissed it, claiming young kids naturally preferred the fun uncle.
Now, I realized what a blind fool I had been.
In the past, I would have swallowed my pride, walked over with warm treats, and tried my best to earn a single smile.
Tonight, I didn't even spare them a glance.
I kicked off my shoes, walked straight past them, and sat down quietly on the sofa.
A few minutes later, the master bedroom door clicked open.
Shiloh walked out with damp hair clinging to her neck, carrying a strange, musk-heavy scent that turned my stomach.
Seeing me on the couch, she instantly flashed an affectionate smile and turned to the nanny.
"Mrs. Gable, take the kids downstairs to the garden playground for a bit."
The nanny nodded and ushered the reluctant children out, leaving the spacious living room completely silent.
Shiloh swayed over to the couch, leaning in close until her warm breath brushed my ear.
"Hubby, I prepared a huge surprise for you. Come into the bedroom."
I stared at her for two cold seconds before standing up and following her inside.
The moment the door shut, Shiloh reached down and untied her silk robe, letting it slide down her shoulders.
Beneath it was the exact black bunny suit from the viral post.
The tight corset pushed up her curves, and the floral birthmark on her bare shoulder gleamed under the soft ambient light.
In the past, the sight of her like this would have driven me wild.
Tonight, a wave of intense nausea hit my throat, forcing me to turn my head away in disgust.
"I just had surgery," I said coldly. "I am not in the mood."
Shiloh froze, a flicker of annoyance flashing across her eyes before she quickly masked it with fake tenderness.
"I know it might feel a little tender down there, honey, but you can just lie back and relax," she whispered, reaching for my belt.
"The doctor said gentle activity is fine. Come on, I've been craving you all evening..."
