At seven o'clock, I arrived at the warehouse right on time.

In my last life, this was the beginning of their game.

In this life, it was the beginning of mine.

When I walked in, my roommate was waiting with a smug look in his eyes.

Everglade University was a prestigious school for the elite.

He and I were both scholarship students. Usually, we wouldn't be able to afford to be there.

We were only admitted because of our top-tier grades.

I remembered when we first started, he told me, "We come from the same world. We have to look out for each other."

Now, he was just a lapdog for the rich.

As I walked toward him, I smelled that same sweet scent from my previous life and felt myself drifting off.

But this time, I woke up much faster.

I had taken a stimulant beforehand to keep me conscious.

I kept my eyes shut, pretending to be out, and listened to them talk.

"The chip is in. Now the real competition begins," Naomi said arrogantly.

Natalia laughed. "Don't expect me to go easy on you, sis."

"Though, this Nathaniel guy is pretty pitiful. I heard he has a grandpa who can barely walk."

Hearing that made my blood boil with rage.

In my last life, Naomi and Natalia both used my grandfather to get to me.

They intentionally made him sick so they could swoop in and pretend to pay for his medical bills.

Eventually, they tormented my grandfather until he passed away.

I clenched my fists under my coat.

I will make sure you both pay for everything.
