Chapter 3 BLOODY QUEEN

"My Queen", Alfy greeted with a bow.

"I'm keeping my promise soldier",Briada said. "I'm promoting you to Gamma",she added with a smirk. She could read the young man's face just like a book. He was so far from being a King's guard. The King's guards are always so cold and know how to take control of their emotions. Or perhaps it was because he wasn't the King's guard anymore, neither was he the Queen's guard. He was the Gamma of the whole wolf race. But Briada could still see the dissatisfaction on his face. The man was a greedy fool and she knew this. Briada knew not to trust someone who broke the master's trust by supporting the enemy. She promised him the position of Beta, second in command but gave him third in command. She couldn't let someone as greedy as him that close to her. She was just waiting for the write time to get rid of him. She just had to push him to do something he shouldn't do,or say something he shouldn't say. "How can someone be a fool and smart at the same time?", Briada had asked herself when she realized Alfy wouldn't just make a mistake. Briada only wanted the loyal ones at her side. And to her,no one would love and obey her wholeheartedly except the dead that she had revived and the necromancers that saw her for her worth and treated her as she deserved,Queen. Alfy got down on his knees,made a bow and said " your servant Marchado Alfy accept your decree". Briada nodded still in deep thought. She thought of how the man spoke. He chose his words too carefully and then Briada knew it wouldn't be any easy task getting rid of him. She only had two options,work harder and eliminate him or get him to be loyal to her. She didn't only see the good cause of his loyalty,she also knew he'd be useful in the future.

"Rise up",Briada told him.

"Is there anything else I can do for you",he asked.

"No,leave",Briada commanded, waving her right hand in the air,a signal for him to leave.

Alfy walked out releasing a breath even he didn't realize he was holding. The Hybrid Queen really did scare the hell out of him. It was the sole reason why he chose his words very carefully. How had he gone from betraying the Royals for this power hungry She-wolf. He hadn't even reached the door when Briada's mate barged in the throne room. You didn't have to take a sniff of the air to realize he was a necromancer.  They've always had different and stronger scents since they weren't born with their abilities but practiced them. Necromancers weren't supposed to be scary. They held great power in the Supernatural race. They were respected for their kind nature, for they helped every creature at their doorstep and were nothing like the pixies. No one knows what happened but they changed overnight and started using their powers for their own benefits and didn't care if it hurt others. By doing this,they hadn't only declared war on Supernaturals but the humans as well. Most Supernaturals believed that the Moon Goddess gave them that much power to be able to protect the humans. It is believed that the Moon Goddess first created humans. But wanting to reward some humans for their good deeds gave them the ability to also shift into wolves,he gave others the ability to teleport,breath life into those that died an unlawful death,gave others great powers,gave others ability to shift into half fish,half man. Alfy bowed to the Queen's mate and left from there. Only the Goddess knew how much those two freaked him out.

"Gwydion,come sit next to me,on the throne. Just like you deserve", Briada said to her mate. It seemed the necromancer did have a name. He walked in all his glory and joined the Queen on the throne but not without pressing a kiss to her cheeks.

"You have the throne now my black rose, what's next?", Gwydion asked immediately he sat down.

Briada smirked and said " it was much easier stealing the throne than I thought. Having this much power feels amazing."

"That doesn't answer my question love", Gwydion teased.

"I have to shake the whole Supernatural realm. I have to make sure they're scared and wouldn't dare to defy me. They should be aware that I, Briada Knightlock can, and will bring the world to it's knees when provoked", Briada said with a shine in her eyes. She'd enjoy every bit of the pain she brought with her reign.

Gwydion smiled and remarked "I wouldn't have it no other way."

Briada returned his smile.

"I also think we should plan for the coronation ceremony", Gwydion told Briada his thoughts.

Briada nodded her head in understanding. But she wasn't quite sure when the coronation had to take place.

"3 days", Gwydion replied reading her thoughts.

"Babe,you know I hate it when you get in my head", Briada yelled clearly irritated.

"Sorry,you seemed to be thinking hard, I couldn't help it", he replied. Briada got up and held her hand out for Gwydion to take. "Let's leave for our chambers, there's something I want to show you",Briada smirked.

"Is it a new lingerie set?", Gwydion asked with a glint in his eyes,his eyes already taking Briada's dress off her.

She smacked him on the head. "You're not even a dog and you're so horny. Well, what I want to show you is a surprise, you'll have to wait and find out", Briada teased and chuckled. Gwydion scoffed, clearly not liking the idea of surprises. None the less,he took his mates hand as he got up and they both walked out of the throne room. Briada's heels clicking loudly as she pulled the heavy cloak away from her feet. Even the guards wouldn't dare look at her as she passed. You wouldn't want to see the evil in her eyes.

❤️❤️❤️❤️ These few days life in the Silver Moon Pack was everything but scary. It was like you couldn't feel the war brewing. The birth of the Alpha's daughter made the Pack so happy that they wanted to live in the feeling and not worry about the chaos in their realm. They had all heard of the death of the Royals already. They had all felt it through that heartbreaking howl but no one had the balls to go to The Alpha King's Castle to find out,not even the numerous Alphas. No one knew what happened at the council meeting. The Alphas to grace the event with their presence couldn't even recall a thing,it was like their memories had been erased. And the other Supernaturals couldn't even be seen. Even though you rarely saw vampires or witches in wolf lands,they should be out to say something. Grey couldn't help but to think of all these. But a look at Romania and his son,and he'd relax. They had already finished decorating the nursery all over again some days ago. Jasper didn't want to leave his sister's side for even a second. It was even harder to persuade him to take a bath now. Jasper would only eat when Romania eats. Grey knew his family was complete and he and his Pack had no troubles but he couldn't just ignore the fact that they were in danger if the Alpha King and Queen were indeed dead. He had felt like a part of him was gone with that heartbreaking howl, he knew the Royals were dead but refused to believe it. Gabriella walked to her mate feeling his sour mood through the mate bond. She rubbed his forehead with her thumbs trying to erase lines on his forehead. She kissed his forehead.

"What is this?, Old age won't suit you, thank the Goddess as wolves we stop aging. Looking at you right now,you look like my human grandpa", Gabriella said in her I'm so serious voice.

Grey laughed. "Gabby,you don't have a human grandpa",he teased.

"So what?,she asked. What if I said all those old men in the human realm are my grandfathers",she replied.

Grey couldn't help it,he laughed so hard.  His mate's sense of humor was something he couldn't really describe.

"This is how you should be,no sulking", Gabriella said with a smile. She was happy with being able to brighten up her mate's mood. So they both moved to Romania's crib,where Jasper was playing with her. And crouched down on the knees. Grey could only be content with his family but he prayed the man who gave Romania to him would wake up soon.

"So he's still not up?", Gabriella asked Grey, Romania holding her index finger in a firm grip and sucking on it. He nodded.

"He was really hurt. He had been enchanted with that magic dart. I even asked the Pack Priest to heal him",Grey replied.

"It really was that serious. Only God knows what could have happened to Romania if he hadn't run into our territory", Gabriella managed to say still surprised.

"I couldn't even smell him or the baby,he might have washed away their scent",Grey voiced out his thoughts. "He didn't care about his life,he only thought of Romania", he added.

"That's normal Grey, every father would put his child first,it was his fatherly instincts kicking in", Gabriella couldn't help but to state what to her was the obvious.

"No Gabby, he's not Romania's father",Grey told her.

"What?", Gabriella yelled.

"You heard it right Gabby she's hi-

Grey's speech was cut short as a knock sounded at the door. "Come in",Grey responded.

"Alpha,Luna",Beta Cherry greeted and bowed.

"Beta Cherry,any news?",Grey asked.

"The young man is awake",She replied.

Grey immediately got up, kissed Gabriella on the cheek and walked out the door to the nursery with Cherry following. He wanted to get everything done with. He wanted to know Romania's true identity. He wanted to know if his doctors and the Pack Priest was really able to save the poor man. He had so many questions  going through his mind. They got to the infirmary in no time. The infirmary wasn't really buzzing with people because there was no war and wolves never really got sick. The only reason nurses and doctors were running around was because some she-wolves were in labour. Nevertheless, they all stopped and bowed, showing their neck as a form of submission wherever Grey and Cherry passed. They finally got to the man's room. The nurse who had been feeding him some soup immediately left as the Alpha entered. Cherry was about to leave too but Grey told her to stay. Grey trusted Cherry with his life and besides she knew too much already. Only she knew that he had lost his daughter and Romania wasn't really his daughter. The guards she had brought with her to take the wounded man to the Pack Infirmary had no idea Romania wasn't really Grey's daughter. Who would doubt it with those curls that resembled Gabriella's so much. Grey made himself comfortable in a sofa close to the man's bed.

"Who are you?",Grey asked with a little bit of his Alpha voice, since he knew the man was no threat. The man only cleared his throat. Cherry helped him sit and brought a glass of water to his lips and watched him as he slowly sipped the water. With the whole glass chucked down, Cherry placed it on a silver tray and stood with her arms crossed. She didn't want to be caught off guard. He was still a stranger so she had to keep her eyes wide open.

"I can't say anything unless I see the little Princess",he finally spoke.

"He asked you a question,how dare you disobey your Alpha", Cherry shouted with an upset tone.

"Technically, he's not my Alpha",the man replied nonchalantly.

"He saved you,you should willingly help him by responding to his questions", Cherry reasoned,her voice softening. She'd realize the man only wanted to see the girl and it was normal for him to want to see her.

"I've called my mate, she'll be here soon with Rome",Grey told the man, hoping it would make him relax. From the way Grey had a pet name for her,Usher realized something and he prayed to the Moon Goddess for it to come true.

Not very long after, Gabriella entered with the baby in her arms. The young man stretched his arms, wanting to carry the baby in his arms. Gabriella looked at his mate and he nodded. Reluctantly,she placed the baby in the stranger's arms. He kissed the baby's forehead.

"I'm sorry princess, I almost got you killed. I wouldn't be able to show my face to your parents in my next life then", he said to the baby who couldn't even understand him. She just stared at him with her big emerald eyes. Grey cleared his throat, bringing the man back to the question he had asked earlier.

"So who are you?", He repeated himself.

"My name's Usher Delgado, personal King's Guard for Queen Eleanor. I owe the Queen my life. I failed to protect her. I failed King Blake when I couldn't protect her against that vile witch. I couldn't fail when the Queen gave me a chance to redeem myself by entrusting the life of the little Alpha Queen in my hands. The Alpha King was attacked by his sister-in-law, Briada Knightlock, she usurped the throne. She attacked the Queen. I was only able to flee cause Queen Eleanor distracted her. I remember exactly what we learnt about the young Queen even before she was born when we went to witch town, she's destined for greatness and she'll be the one to end Briada's reign with the necromancers and save us", Usher said his left hand on his chest. He was finding it difficult to talk but he still did anyway. Grey noticed this and brought a glass of lemonade to his lips. It would reduce the pain in his chest.

"I knew the situation was serious but I never thought it was this serious",Grey said as he placed the glass on a tray and sat down pulling Gabriella with him to sit next to him.

"It's really serious,she has taken over with a necromancer as her mate, she's behind the necromancers and everything that has been happening",Usher told them. He had told them everything but didn't want to tell them about the abilities the princess possessed. He couldn't trust them,at least not fully.

"We've adopted the girl, just don't let anyone find out she's not really our daughter and you're more than welcomed to stay in this Pack", Gabriella spoke for the first since she entered the room and handed the baby over to Usher. Usher then took notice of her. "She's small and fragile for a Luna,but her aura is intimidating. I wouldn't get on her bad side", Usher thought.

"Why don't you want anyone to know you adopted her?",Usher said in a bitter tone. Knowing Usher  as a King's guard,he couldn't just get angry so it was obvious to Grey that he was only pretending. As Alpha,it was a natural ability to be able to see through people but he answered him anyway. After all,he had nothing to hide.

"We lost our pup the day I found you", Grey started. "She died immediately after the delivery, both my mate and I want to keep Romania as our daughter. She has Alpha blood,no one will doubt it and it's also a good strategy to keep her away from Briada. If we want Briada to think she died,then it's the only way",he ended.

Usher sighed,he already thought so too. Then he looked at Romania's left hand for the third time today. Her left hand had been balled into a fist ever since he took her from the Luna. Because he had been staring at her hand too long, Gabriella realized it.

"Her hand has been like that ever since Grey brought her home. I tried to pry it open several times but it just wouldn't budge",she surprised him by replying to his unasked question.

"I can't read your mind or anything, you've been staring at her left hand for a long time", she clarified.

"I can see you're observant Luna, Alpha, that's a true gem you have there", Usher said feeling the wall he'd built around them, not too high anymore.

Grey only nodded and smiled. Usher tried to open the little girl's fist. And when he finally was able to,the Jade pendant glowed a bright purple and they all gasped.

"The Queen's pendant?, Usher asked nobody in particular. "It might have pulled you to the river Alpha",Usher reasoned.

"It's a charm for protection and wards away evil, it was given to the Queen by her grandma,the Ancient Mother Of Witch Town",he explained.

"That explains why you'd go to witch town. Initially,I didn't understand", Grey said.

Usher took the necklace from Romania's hand and placed it around her neck.

"Get some rest, you'll be released tomorrow",Grey told him as he stood up, helping Gabriella up. Gabriella reached for Romania and Usher handed her over. Gabriella was Romania's mother now. He'd always protect her but now he understood everything was for the better and he'd still be with her anyway. He closed his eyes ready for sleep to take over as the group left him.

Peace was in the Upper- West plains, especially the Silver Moon Pack but you couldn't say the same for the Southern plains. It was in chaos. Most of the wolves of the Dawn Moon Pack had rebelled against the Alpha Queen's command. She was making one of her necromancers their Alpha Female. And they'd never accept that. The problem wasn't because she was a female. The problem was because she was a necromancer. One of those disgusting creatures who caused the whole destruction of the Supernatural realm. If the bloody Queen could be more sadistic than she already was,then they feared the future of the Supernaturals. They had rebelled and threw a challenge at her to fight them. The Queen had heard the words their foul mouths said about her.

"Alfy",She had called her third in command. "I need to deal with this situation naturally",she told herself.

"Yes mistress",he replied.

"Those stupid wolves threw me a challenge. Increase their taxes, don't give them food or provide them with water. They are not supposed to hunt or even shift. If they go against my command, kill them all, pup, She-wolf, He-wolf,all of them",she commanded.

Alfy bowed receiving the command. Not long after word was spread in the whole kingdom of the harsh ruling of the Queen. At daytime she personally tormented them and at night, she released the hybrids that she had created to hunt. If you were outside at night,you'd be turned by them too.

Grey wished he could help the Dawn Moon Pack but they were so far away from him and he was just Alpha,no match for the Bloody Queen. In a matter of days, Briada had earned a name for herself, the bloody Queen.

Weeks of her cruelness turned to months and The Dawn Moon Pack still didn't succumb to her wishes. The whole wolf kingdom was dead silent. No one went out at night,no one wanted to get on the bad side of the Bloody Queen. When she had finally had enough of The Dawn Moon Pack,she striked.

"Alpha",Usher called and bowed. He had been ushered into The Silver Moon Pack as a lead Pack Warrior since the old Pack Warrior had retired. This way it'd be hard for Briada to ever find him. Cause his scent had changed.

"Do you have any news?",he asked.

"The Dawn Pack was attacked by The Hybrids",he replied. I have our men looking for those who could escape, we'll try and get them in the Pack and help them settle", he assured his Alpha.

"Find Alpha Kry's son. He's only four years old",Grey told him.

"What is wrong with this bloody Queen,what does she want?",Grey yelled in distress.

"She wants to build her Pack Of Rotten Hybrids i believe Sir", Usher told him what he felt with his experience. "A whole Pack of Rotten Hybrids will make it difficult to defeat Briada",he added.

Cherry shrieked, clearly scared. Her mate pulled her into his arms trying to calm her down and the look of horror on Grey's face was enough to make anyone shit on himself. For even if one of the greatest Alphas feared this,then you probably should too.
