Kieren's first love is back in the country.

On our eighth wedding anniversary, he brought her home without a shred of shame.

He tossed a fake divorce agreement in front of me.

"Gemma has a weak heart. She doesn't have much time left. I want to fulfill her final wish."

"You've always been so sensible. I'm sure you'll understand."

I calmly packed my things to leave.

But he used my parents' massive debt to force me to stay as a maid for the Sterling family.

"Don't forget who's paying off the millions your family owes!"

That night, I overheard him talking to his friends outside the bedroom.

"Damn, Kieren! I can't believe a proud woman like Noelle Halloway actually agreed to be your dog."

Kieren sneered.

"For a woman who cares about money, she'd strip and dance for you guys if I told her to. She'd do it gladly."

I looked at the eighty percent equity transfer given to me by Old Man Sterling and smiled.

This time, he was right.

I was indeed doing this for the money.
