Chapter 1
My husband passed away. While I was sorting through his belongings, I found a key fob from a luxury hotel in his study drawer.
Small letters were engraved on the back: "Commemorative gift for over one hundred stays."
We had been married for ten years, yet we hadn't stayed in a hotel even once.
Driven by confusion, I took the key fob to the hotel to check the records.
I discovered that every Sunday night for the past five years, he hadn't been working overtime as he claimed.
He had been rolling in the sheets with his childhood best friend, never missing a week regardless of the weather.
The next time I opened my eyes, I had returned to three days before our engagement.

The first thing I saw after waking up was Jace and Seraphina huddled together on the living room sofa, exchanging flirtatious glances.
When she saw me enter, Seraphina jumped up, looking terrified. "Nyla, you're back..." she stammered.
She was wearing my silk robe, looking like a pathetic, wilted lily.
Looking at this scene, which was identical to my previous life, I finally confirmed the fact that I had truly been reborn.
I suppressed my surging emotions and swept a sharp gaze toward Jace, who remained perfectly calm.
"Jace, don't you have something to explain?" I asked coldly.
Jace looked up and glanced at me with disdain. "What is there to explain? It's not Seraphina's first time here. Stop making a scene!"
He spoke as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
He didn't notice Seraphina giving me a triumphant look behind his back before she switched back to her victim persona.
"Nyla, please don't misunderstand. My clothes got wet by accident, and Jace was worried I'd catch a cold, so he brought me here."
"Don't be angry. I'm leaving right now..." she said, her voice trembling.
Jace grabbed her arm immediately. "Ignore her. Where would you go this late? Stay put. If anyone is leaving, it'll be me walking you out."
After that, he glared at me with pure disgust.
"Look how much you've scared her! Apologize to Seraphina right now!"
Hearing the words that had once caused me so much pain, flashes of my previous life began to flicker in my mind.
During ten years of marriage, I did my best to be a perfect wife, loving him with my entire soul.
I never expected to find out he had been entangled with another woman all along, with over a hundred hotel check-ins.
The moment I learned the truth, my heart felt like it had been shredded by a thousand blades.
I couldn't handle the shock and fainted from pure rage.
I didn't expect that when I opened my eyes again, the board would be reset, and I'd be back at the starting point.
As my memories settled, I watched the two of them in silence. I closed my eyes tightly, my nails digging into my palms until they bled.
Seraphina saw my reaction, and a flash of triumph crossed her eyes, though she maintained her fragile act.
"Forget it, Jace. Nyla didn't mean it. I'll go change first. Don't you have something to tell her?"
She turned and walked toward the bedroom with practiced ease. As she passed Jace, she gave him a meaningful look.
A second later, Jace spoke up as if on cue.
"I heard your father bought you another villa in the Celestial Estates. It's right next to Seraphina's office."
"Give me the keys. I'll call a moving company tomorrow so she can move in."
Sure enough, even in this life, the same old schemes were being shoved in my face right on schedule.
Without a single thought, I refused him coldly. "My dad gave that to me. Why would I let an outsider live there?"
Jace had assumed I was still that foolish woman who obeyed his every whim.
He didn't expect such a blunt rejection, and his brow immediately darkened with fury.
"Seraphina's current place is a thirty-minute commute. She has to wake up at the crack of dawn every day. What's wrong with letting her stay there?"
"It's just a house. You're just letting her borrow it, not giving it away. Don't be so petty!"
I almost laughed out loud at his audacity.
"If you love her so much, you can buy a house for her yourself."
Jace gritted his teeth in anger. "Nyla Grayson, since when did you become so heartless? Who else would marry you if I didn't put up with you!"
Seraphina had just finished changing and stepped out of the room. Hearing Jace's words, she guessed what was happening.
She rushed over, looking anxious and frail.
"Jace, please don't fight because of me. It's normal for Nyla to be unwilling..."
Tears welled in her eyes, and her voice was choked with forced restraint.
She was the perfect image of a misunderstood, selfless saint.
Seeing my firm stance, Jace felt his pride wounded and growled through his teeth. "I never realized you were so selfish! I really misjudged you!"
"We don't need your help. We can afford our own place!"
After dropping that threat, he grabbed Seraphina's hand and slammed the door as they left.
I watched their retreating figures, calmed my breathing, and dialed my parents.
"Dad, Mom, I want to cancel the engagement in three days."
