Old Lady Sterling brought the twins, Maddox and Kaelen, before my sister and me.

"These are my twin sons. Each of you pick one," she announced.

I looked up in shock, my heart racing.

Maddox, the eldest, was built like a tank. He was the future Alpha of the Sterling Pack.

Kaelen, his younger brother, was a pale, sickly thing who looked like he lived on a diet of pills.

I stared at them, making sure this wasn't some cruel trick. This was no dream.

I had actually been reborn. I was back on the day we chose our werewolf husbands.

My sister, Celine, lunged forward and grabbed Kaelen's hand. Her eyes were filled with fake tenderness.

"Kaelen, I want to be your wife," she whispered.

As she spoke, she threw me a smug, triumphant look.
