Chapter 3 A lesson of never giving up

She came out of the bathroom as she walked up to the mirror, seeing her reflection in it she set her hair. One of the benefits of having short hair is that it doesn't take you too much time to comb it. She just have to move her hands through her hair and it was already set. She then opened a few buttons of her sleeves and rolled them up. After that, she grabbed a pair of leather boots and put them on. She then turned to her brother who was still in a daze from hearing her dreams,

“ You are still here? ” she narrowed her eyes, “ I was about to leave. By the way, you just took a shower and you just watched yourself in the mirror... Are you going somewhere? ” he asked while raising his eyebrows,

“ Are you trying to say that I take shower only when I go out, is that what you meant ? ” she narrowed her eyes,

“ Definitely not but.. You aren't someone who takes a shower every day, are you? ” he said with a smirk, she pursed her lips as she pointed her finger towards her brother. It seemed like they were going to engage in really serious arguments, however, she replied,

“ Hmm.. I'm going to school. Want a lift, huh? ” “ School? You finally decided to show up there, huh? Why don't you wait a year or two and then we will be studying in the same grade, what say? Besides, I'll still go on my own, I don't want to ruin my reputation to go school with someone who has failed High school for God knows how many times, I even forgot the counting, ” he smirked,

She bit her lips as she commented, “ You know what, By this way, I'm teaching everyone a very important lesson in life, ” “ And what is that? ” he raised his eyebrows,

“ A lesson of never giving up.. ”

“ Ahhh.. Don't tell me that you failed your exams just to show the world how great you are to apply every year for the high school and not give up, ” he sighed,

“ You know what I can debate on this topic for hours but right now I'm getting late for my school, so will you please excuse me, huh? ” she said with a playful voice as she made her way out of the room... She was happily walking along the corridor, still smiling and thinking about her dream meanwhile a loud dull voice interrupted her fantasy,

“ Ah.. Brother, please.. Forgive me this time, I promise it will never happen again. Brother Eden, please.. Brother Ethan, please let me go, ahh... Leave me, please.. Ah, ”

She narrowed her eyes before mumbling, “ Who is being tortured by my brothers again? ” “ Jerry.. ” Liam replied, “ Are you following me? ” She narrowed her eyes, “ You wish!! I'm just heading out.. ” “ Wait… What did you say? They are beating Jerry, my servant? How dare they touching my men without asking me?? ” she said with dark eyes, “ Well, I heard that Jerry got caught by cops last night and get beaten by them, ” Liam sighed, “ What?? He let a cop catching him? So humiliating.. Tell brothers to give him more kicks on my behalf, ” she said while pursing her lips,

“ That little rascal, he wasted my time. Hah, I just hope I'm not too much late.. ” she was rushing outside while mumbling this meanwhile someone grabbed her hands,

“ Who the f*ck is trying to mess with me again, huh? Want to have a taste of my punch... Ah, Dad.. I'm sorry I didn't see you? ” she immediately changed her tone realizing that the person she was cursing was her father,

“ Well, I can see that by your language, ” he said while raising his eyebrows and she scratched her head out of embarrassment. He then scanned her from the top to bottom as he asked,

“ How come you are so neatly dressed? Are you going somewhere? ”

She bit her lips as she said while scratching her head, “ I.. um, I was heading to school, Dad, ”

“ School? ” he raised his eyebrows as her words stunned her father. Ahe bit her lips as she said, “ Yeah.. I was thinking about finally passing my high school exams, after all, how many years will I stay in the same year, haha, and.. for passing my exams, I think, I should start attending my classes, at least, once a week.. or in a month? ” she said while laughing awkwardly, her shocking words made her father laugh as well,

“ You want to pass the high school? Well, I'm still surprised how you got this idea in your mind but trust me, I really appreciate this and I think my daughter can do anything once she becomes d*ckhead towards it... Ah, I'm sorry again, did I hear you right, You just said you want to pass high school exams? ”

“ Dad.. ” she pouted,

“ So you did say that, okay.. My good wishes are with you, ” he said as he mumbled, “ Though you need the good wishes of the whole city to pass your exams, ”

“ Come here, I'll give you a trick to pass the exams, ” he whispered with a serious voice and she leaned towards his mouth as she thought her father was going to tell her something very serious,

“ You give me the phone number of your university's dean and I can assure you he will not dare to fail you next time, ” he whispered in a very serious voice,

“ Dad.. ” she stomped her feet,

“ What? I'm being serious here. It's the best way. You don't have to study and you don't have to attend your classes. Just let your Dad help you in this, huh? ”

“ Dad.. I want to do this on my own. I want to pass high school without threatening someone and.. without killing someone, okay? Did you hear that, huh? ” she said while narrowing her eyes at him,

“ Okay.. Huh, God! Let me see my daughter graduate before I die... Ah, what? No, I'm not asking eternity for me? Why did you say that? ” her father mumbled in a pretentious tone as if he was talking to God,

“ Dad.. You are such a drama queen. Who would say that you are the Mafia Don whom everyone feared, huh? And don't worry, I won't take an eternity to graduate, you will soon see me passing my exams, okay? Now, I'm leaving, bye-bye, ” she waved her hands to leave but her father grabbed her wrist as he took off a gun from her jeans,

“ What is this? " he asked while narrowing his eyes,

“ A gun.. ” she answered with a pair of clueless eyes,

“ And why are you bringing a gun to your school, huh? ”

“ Oh come on Dad, I bring it everywhere. You had told me to keep this with me everywhere, you forget that? ” she raised her eyebrows,

“ Not in school, Jenny, ”

“ What if I got into a fight, huh? ” she narrowed her eyes,

“ That's why you can't take it with you or else you will kill half of your classmates, ” he said with a strict voice,

“ Dad.. ” “ No arguments on this, ” he said with a stern voice,

“ Okay fine.. I'm leaving. Now, if anything happens to me, it will be on you, ”
