And now, her pursuit of thrills with another man had landed her in the ER.

The second Natalie came home from the hospital, she slapped me hard across the face.

"Nolan, are you out of your damn mind? How dare you call Marcus's wife to the hospital? Did you want the whole world to know you got cuckolded?"

That slap was not enough for her.

She swung her designer handbag, beating me over the head.

"You shameless, worthless piece of trash! Why don't you just drop dead?"

The heavy metal buckle struck my forehead.

Blood dripped down, blinding my left eye in a wash of crimson.

I grabbed Natalie's wrists and shoved her back, my voice shaking with pure fury.

"When you threw yourself at a married man to be his mistress, why didn't you care about making me a cuckold?"

"Marcus cares about his reputation, but what about mine?"
