Chapter 3 Guilty Boss

Pearl was staying in her room and looked at herself in the mirror again. She was thinking about her past and felt sad. She was trying to hold her tears and act strong and heartless. But she missed her freedom life and environment. She knew she can’t go back to that life ever. Since he wasn’t letting her go, she was always his. She was thinking about what she needed to do. She got the idea which is following his will and treating him nicely for paying back. She hoped to see the morning sun and spring breeze once again. She said, “Okay, you can do it, Pearl, this is your fate now stop crying and be brave to face it”. Her mind was hurting and can’t able to stand still. So, she collapsed down to the floor and look at the moving curtains by the wind. She was standing up and walking up to the balcony door near the mirror. She was opening the door and step forward to see the surrounding. She saw the big landscape which she can not even see like this again. It was so beautiful enough to feel joy. But she couldn’t feel enjoy. She became the prisoner of this big boss. He didn’t seem like a good guy however she don’t want her ex in danger again. On the other hand, he promised her to clear her debts and give the apartment for her friend. Since she came out from home, her friend become her closest friend and also her family. Her friend’s family was standing there for her and giving her a chance to stand on her own feet. She was studying together with her friend at the same school and university. Everything went worse after her friend's parents die in an accident. On that day, they cried by leaning on each other's shoulders and hugging tight. She was finding a part-time job first and Ruby find the apartment. They couldn’t stay at Ruby's parent's home longer. Ruby’s parents didn’t own a home. They were staying at the place where their employer give them. They were being the government’s staff who work in educational services. She and Ruby got out from there and start their own road.

After leaving their hometown, they were facing many troubles in life. They weren’t giving up and trying to survive. At last, she got a chance to rent an apartment. That day was the best day of their life. They were staying at a motel for over three years. The apartment and housing prices in Las Vegas were high. This time wasn’t lasting because she meet him. She had tons of men whom she date in her past. She couldn’t stop her feeling for him. She found out what’s his real bad hobbies. Then, she tried to end up her relationship with him. But he kept messing up her life somehow. Now, she became like this because of him. If she could clear up all the knots and face things she was scared of, she will become a free person. During that time, Ms. Cornell was coming upstairs and then open the door without knocking. She was wiping off her tears and said, “what is it, Ms. Cornell". Ms. Cornell said, "Ma'am, the car will take you tonight”. She said, “where is he taking me to”. Ms. Cornell said, “I am sorry Ma'am we don't know”. She said, “Okay, how long will it take”. Ms. Cornell said, “You should prepare for 2 or 3 more days”. She asked, “Where are my clothes”. Ms. Cornell said, “we are putting it away from you”. She said, “Why”. Ms. Cornell said, “No one can change and escape from Master’s hand but you aren’t the same”. She asked, “Why are you doing this”. Ms. Cornell said, “we are doing by orders of Master”. She said, “Alright then should I wear those every day”. Ms. Cornell said, “You should wear those in your closet and wear the jewelry in the jewelry box which master give it to you”. She said, “Is there anyone he takes here”. Ms. Cornell said, “My job is to serve anyone by obeying master’s order”. She said, “Look like I am not the only one here”. Ms. Cornell said, “If you understand a master’s mind, you will change”. She said, “Why do I need to understand?”. Ms. Cornell said, “the lunch is ready”. She said, “Okay, we should do the first thing first”. Then, they went downstairs. Ms. Cornell was preparing healthy foods for her at lunchtime again.

After having lunch, Ms. Cornell was telling her about the trip she need to go on today. She asked, "When will it be". Ms. Cornell said, "we need to wait for the contact first". She said, "Okay, I will prepare for it". Ms. Cornell said, "Good". Ms. Cornell asked to give her phone. She said, "is it serious". Ms. Cornell said, "it's the rule of this house". She said, "Alright take it". She gave her phone to Ms. Cornell and leave. She went back into her room but the smell of the room and everything make her cry. So, she lie on the bed and hide her face under the pillow, and cried. She was crying too hard and then fall into a deep sleep.

When she woke up, the sun goes down. At that time, she heard Ms. Cornell's voice. Then, she looked at the clock on the nightstand table. She was shocked to see the time. She shouted, "eight pm". And then, she answered, "I am coming". Ms. Cornell was opening the door and said, "why are you still doing nothing". She was struggling to find the perfect explanation to give. Suddenly, Ms. Cornell realized why is she happening like this. So, Ms. Cornell called the maids for packing all things she need in a minute. Then, Ms. Cornell said, "the car arrive and now you should get in the car". She said, "Do you know anything else". Ms. Cornell said, "I am sorry, the boss never says where he goes and what he does". She said, "Okay then, I will go downstairs and get in the car". Ms. Cornell said, "Good". Then, she was leaving the room and headed to the front door. The maids were carrying the pack and followed her to the car. When she got in the car, she look around the place. The guards were guarding the house, garden, driving path, and everywhere. The house and the garden were too huge like a mansion. She didn't know why she become a prisoner here. While she thought about her situation, the car is start moving. She was opening the car window. But it wasn't opening. So, she told to the driver via the shutter. Then, she could open the car window. She needed fresh air for forgetting this situation once.

The boss was fixing all the errands at the construction site and told his men for finding the engineer. And then, he went to his family residence. He was making a call to home to check her condition at there. Ms. Cornell was picking up the phone and answered, "Yes, master she was leaving right now". He said, "Good what's her condition right now". Ms. Cornell said, "I think she is neutral because she doesn't do anything special". Ms. Cornell said, "Oh, right she was locked in the room to think about herself from 2 to 8 pm". He said, "What?". Ms. Cornell said, "I think we should give her free time". He said, "No, you are in charge of that house and you need to take care of her". Ms. Cornell said, "I am doing as best as I can". He said, "Cut it out and how dare you talk back like this to your master". Ms. Cornell said, "I am sorry Master". Then, he said, "I will hang up now and you should recall what have you done today". Ms. Cornell said, "Yes". He was picking up his glass of vodka and drink it. He was waiting for her. The time was taking too long to see her. During that time, he was opening the drawer and taking out the handkerchief. There had the butterfly on the ocean color handkerchief. She was tying that handkerchief on his wound. Her face was too beautiful on that day. He hasn’t seen someone like her before. Actually, he married gold digger girls over 5 years ago. But he was divorcing them for betraying him and causing him danger. One of his ex-wives was marrying his enemy after divorcing him. They got enough money for divorcing. But the special investigators were finding them for catching his trail still. It was useless because he is staying in the dark. He wasn’t doing bad things after meeting her. As a mobster, he couldn’t get away from the black money businesses. So, he made some investments and do other cover businesses for himself. He was losing his parents when he aged six. The Don was adopting him and raising him as a special person. He was getting in touch with those businesses and workflows. At last, he became the mobster after him. His adopted father Uri Bolvick was loving him mostly like his own son so he gave him this house. He had good and bad memory here. So, he didn’t want to come back here alone. Now, he was doing as he plan before. He hoped she can change everything including his feelings on this house.
