Chapter 2

Cooper just laughed but he kept looking at me so I frowned especially when I remembered him playing with the ballpoint pen he was holding earlier while talking to the people next to him, is he trying to hit on me or..ah whatever.

"Fine. I have an extra ballpoint pen here, just make sure next time you don't forget your ballpoint pen." I said seriously then handed it to him.

"Oh, thanks." he said smiling. I noticed Cooper's gaze on my body and I immediately narrowed my eyes at him.

"Nice body. Terrible clothes, though." it said that I felt it.

"It would have been better if you were dressed better." He said that I laughed softly then looked at him evilly.

"What do you care, Cooper?" I asked then tormented him.

"So.." Cooper was about to speak when the entire classroom suddenly fell silent.

"Our Professor is here." Carla said. Cooper returned to his seat and Carla immediately approached me to whisper.

"My news is that our Professor is new and I think he taught some classes over the summer, and this is his first time semester." it whispered.

The Professor walks to the podium, then he turns to face the class. 𝑂ℎ 𝑚𝑦 𝑔𝑜𝑑!

I was surprised to see Hunter, the man who was just next to me in bed earlier.

This is crazy! I had sex with my Professor?! I immediately felt panic in my chest but I tried to calm myself down.

It's fine. I never thought that he would be my Professor here..The semester is just starting!

"Good morning, class, and welcome to Advanced Chemistry. I'm Professor Hunter Posadaz." introduce it.

His voice was very cold as well as his expression, very different from the gentle Hunter I met last night.

As I stared at Hunter, my other classmates started whispering.

"Ugh, he's way too hot to be a Professor!" said a woman.

"I heard that he is the youngest Professor in college history!" said a woman.

"My friend was in one of his summer classes. He even said that it was hard to concentrate." it said excitedly.

I really can't concentrate in my Chemistry class if all I think about is what Hunter will think that his one night stand last night was his student, he almost saw everything about me, he almost touched everything about me, my god !

"I heard he is also single, for sure all the female staff here have been hitting on him." said a woman.

"Of course, they have, can you blame them? My friend also told me that they waited for class to end so they could flirt with him, but he never showed interest" he said and they immediately laughed softly.

I immediately shook my head..I need to focus! I need to pay attention to the class because today is the first day, I don't want to be scolded, what?

I immediately opened my notebook, then looked back at Hunter, who was now talking about the course content.

I don't think he has noticed me yet.

When Hunter suddenly looked at the people who were gossiping behind me, and they were immediately stunned then their cheeks started to turn red.

"Girls, is there something you'd like to share with the class?" he said seriously.

"No, Professor!" this is the answer.

"Please, don't interrupt me again!" he said seriously. Hunter immediately stared at them, and then looked around the classroom and spoke.

"As I was saying, this is an elective chemistry unit. However, I don't expect anyone to take it lightly, no matter what is major is." it said.

"This isn't an easy unit, so anyone looking for quick credits is in the wrong class and should leave now." he said seriously.

I heard faint laughter but no one dared to leave the classroom.

"Okay, great. Now take a look at the person next to you---" Hunter stopped when he looked at me, his eyes widened a bit when he saw me, and I seemed to be frozen in my seat.

He immediately took his eyes off of me and finished what he had to say.

"The person next to you will be your lab partner for the rest of the semester. I hope you choose wisely." it said. I felt Carla holding my arm as a sign that she was happy to be our partner, but I was so frozen that I couldn't even look at her.

I tried to meet Hunter's gaze, but he obviously avoided looking at me and focused his gaze on his notes and then started teaching.

He is also choosing students to answer his question, but he really doesn't want to look in my direction.

I can't believe him! He was really avoiding me! I immediately grabbed my bag to get my notebook when I saw Hunter's number stuck on it.

Ts This morning he made it sound like he wanted something serious with me but what now?! No wonder he will deny the one who intervened between us now that I am only his student.

"?" - Carla

Carla was saying something but I couldn't understand so I immediately looked at her and she immediately raised an eyebrow.

"Are you okay? You're acting a bit weird?" it's a worried question.

"I'll tell you after class." I said and he took a deep breath.

"Alright. But you'd better be honest with me." it said that I nodded.

I looked in front of Hunter who was still in class with a serious expression on his face.

The Hunter I was with last night was flirty and sweet, the Hunter I'm facing now is an irrational and professional Professor, argh. I don't even know what a real Hunter is.

I looked around and observed the other students who were really listening to every word Hunter was saying.

I bit my lip, then I tried to focus on class.

"Alright, that's almost all we have time for today." it said.

"Does anyone have any questions?" it asked.

Hunter purposely ignoring me all class!

"Alright, since there don't seem to be any more questions, you're all dismissed!" he said seriously.

He immediately returned his attention to his notes and starts to pack up and the students are also starting to leave.

I wanted to talk to Hunter so I quickly arranged my things and I was going to follow him leading my classmates so I couldn't pass, and when I got out Hunter wasn't around.

Argh!

"Wendelle!"

"Wendy, what?" I immediately turned to Carla whose face showed the surprise from before.

"What's going on?" this question made me immediately take a deep breath.

"Not here, let's go to the Café." I said and he immediately followed me.

After class I went straight to Café with Carla, and I told her everything about what happened to us by Professor Hunter Posadaz!

"Oh my gosh!" I was surprised by this promise that made me gasp, he immediately looked around to check if anyone could hear us then he lowered his voice.

"I can't believe you have a steamy night with our hot Professor!" he said softly.

"I swear, I didn't know he was my Professor!" I also said softly then looked around.

"So, what are you gonna do now, Miss Wendelle Y Marquez, huh?" It says my full name.

"Well, I think everything that happened last night is over. The Hunter I met last night and this morning was very warm and charming, but earlier in class it was as cold as frozen ice, he completely ignored me." I said in a bad mood.

"Well, that makes sense Wen, you can't have a relationship since he's your Professor." he said and I gasped.

"Yeah.."

"But that doesn't mean you'll give up. You don't wanna have any regrets, right. You should fight, Wend!" he said and I nodded.

"I'm sure you can make things work, even if you have to keep your relationship hidden for a bit." it said.

"Yes, I really need to talk to him, he's probably in shock like me, that's why he was avoiding me earlier." I said more.

"I think that's a good idea." He said smiling.

I immediately took out the notepad with Hunter's number and immediately sent him a text message.

'Hey, Hunter, it's Wendy. Can we talk somewhere?" I read my message then looked at Carla.

I put my phone down on the table and waited for its reply but after we finished eating with Carla, there was still nothing.

"Still nothing from Hunter!" I said annoyed to Carla.

After a few moments of waiting, I stared at my phone angrily.

"Maybe he's just busy?" Carla said laughing.

"Or maybe he's just busy avoiding me!" I said annoyed, I immediately took my phone and sent a message again.

Don't avoid me. We really need to talk.'

A few minutes later and I was about to send another message when my phone beeped.

"Is that him?" Carla asked.

"Yes.." I said then immediately read the message.

'You're right. We need to talk.'

'If you're free now, come to my office.'

"I have to go." I said after reading that then I stood up and took my bag.

"Good luck, Wend!" Carla said so I immediately smiled and quickly went to Hunter.

I immediately saw Hunter's office so I knocked. "Come in." I heard it said.

I entered and slowly closed the door.

"Thanks for stopping by, Wendy." He said seriously then got up from his chair and he sat down at his table and immediately stared at me, the warmth gone, why does it feel like heartache?!

"I guess I'll get straight to the point. Since I'm your Professor, whatever came between us won't work anymore." he said seriously.

"Does that mean..you regret what happened last night?" I asked and he immediately shook his head.

"No. Last night was..special. But that can't happen again." it said that I blew it.

"Why do you want to stop this? I thought it was SPECIAL why is this?" I asked, he didn't answer so I immediately approached him. Hunter's stand up, so I look up to him.

"Look, Wendy, I won't deny our what happened last night and our connection but..no one can really come between us." it said.

"Students and teachers can't have relationships, and I won't ruin my career or your studies here. I'm sorry about last night---"

Before Hunter could finish what he was going to say, I immediately came to him and placed my lips on his, then I tied my arm around his neck.

He hesitated at first, but then he kisses me back, and I can feel his hand on my hip. "Wendy..."

"Don't stop.." I said softly as he tried to stop. The kiss is slow, sweet, and filled with emotions. Suddenly he hugged me to get closer to him then he stared at me while he was holding me tightly.

It's like I melted when it caressed my skin, the speed of my heart beat now. This feels so right.

Hunter gently traced his finger on my cheek, and I pulled myself even closer and I completely forgot where I was right now.

"Wendy.." he called me softly. He was about to kiss me again when suddenly we heard voices.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
