When Hunter and I heard that, we immediately moved away from each other then looked around.

"I closed the door, that voice must have come from outside." I said softly, taking a deep breath that I had been holding back for a while. Hunter returned to his place earlier.

False alarm.

I looked at Hunter who was now looking out the window as if he was thinking a lot. "That was close. Too close." he said seriously.

"I like you, Wendy, but what we're doing is really dangerous." he said then took a deep breath. Hunter looked into my eyes, his expression was serious.

"We can't do this, Wendy. It was a false alarm this time, but we might not be lucky next time. We need to nip whatever we had in the bud now and put it behind us." It said that now it is bowed down.

"N-Are you really worried about me or your job?" I asked and he took a deep breath then looked at me.

"It's just a small part of the reason. I don't want you to get hurt, Wendy. If they catch us, you will be their target and the source of sc´nd´l here." He said seriously then stopped for a moment then continued what he had to say.

"You can get kicked out of college here, and even if you don't get fired, people would think you slept with a teacher to get ahead." He said that I closed my eyes.

"Don't worry about me, Hunter." I said softly and he shook his head.

"I'm sorry, Wendy, but it's best for both of us to pretend that nothing happened last night, that we didn't meet.." he said..

"Why is it so easy for you to say that?! Even though nothing totally happened to us last night, you are the first man who touched my body, w-who kissed my body..."

"I know that!" He interrupted what I was saying and I shook my head and was about to speak when he raised one of his hands to stop me for talking.

"This conversation is over. I need to get to my next class." He said that I laughed softly then looked at him evilly.

"F-Fine! I don't even care anymore!" I shouted here.

"I can just go to a bar tonight and find another guy who can be a one night stand for real the man with one word!" I said seriously and I can see how it feels.

"You wouldn't!" He also said seriously so I laughed at him and then left him without saying anything.

I left Hunter's office and started walking on Campus when I noticed Cooper heading towards me with a pretty girl by his side.

"Hi, Wendy!" he greeted then raised one of his hands to wave.

"Hi..." I greeted briefly then raised one of my hands to wave as well. Cooper looked at the woman next to him.

"Baby, this is Wendy. She's in my Chemistry class. Wendy, this is my girlfriend, Maya." its introduction.

Girlfriend? Maybe I was wrong about Cooper hitting on me. I saw Maya smiling at me as if she was shy.

"I'm happy to meet you.." he said softly making me smile.

"Me too." I said to him. She seems nice. Maybe Cooper was really friendly that time, I just misinterpreted it.

"I'm glad I ran into you, Wendy. I'm holding a masquerade ball at the end of the month. It would be okay if you and Carla could be together," he said smiling.

"Masquerade?" I repeated and he nodded.

"It'll be a wild one and a great way to kick off the year. What do you say?" he asked smiling so I smiled at him too.

"I'll think about it. I also need to check my schedule if I can be on that day." I said here and he nodded.

"Well, I really hope you can make it. I guarantee that this ball will be fun." he said then took two invitation cards from his bag and handed them to me.

"At least take the invitations. You need that to get inside." he said so I nodded and immediately thanked you.

Cooper and Maya had already left when my phone suddenly vibrated. I took it from my bag and my chest heaved quickly when I read that Hunter.

[ I know you're upset, Wendy, but please don't do anything irrational. ] I read, maybe he is still thinking about the last thing I said earlier.

[ It's none of your business, Hunter. It's not us, so I can sleep with whoever I want. ] I replied then turned off my phone.

I just went home to us and racked my brain thinking about Hunter.

I was just joking earlier that I was looking for a one night stand, but I really want to go out tonight. I wanted to take Carla with me, but my desire to be alone prevailed.

I went to the closet and bought something to wear, I immediately took a short black skirt with long sleeves that showed a bit of my cleavage. I wanna look hot tonight. I immediately put on my heels and quickly put my phone in my clutch and went out.

As soon as I reach the bar, I immediately get drinks to loosen myself before joining the dancers.

"Can I get you something to drink?" the waitress said to me so I nodded because my drink was going down.

"Whiskey, please." I said and he smiled at me.

"Tough day?" it asked.

"Yeah..It's like that." my answer.

"Ooppss..Sorry, I forgot to get your drinks." he said so I just nodded and then while I was waiting for my drinks to arrive, suddenly a woman stood next to me. She's really beautiful.

"Are you new here?" he asked smiling.

"Uh, yeah, maybe...It's my second time today." I said and he nodded and my drinks came and the waitress immediately confronted him and there was a tall man with him.

"Isabella, you're here, Boss Blake called you a while ago, why did you leave the meeting room?" he said and immediately smiled.

"Don't mind him, tell him not to miss me first." he said and I smiled.

"Isabella..."

"Argh...Just go first, Eian, please." he said and he didn't do anything and he left and he signaled the waitress to give him drinks too then he said thank you.

While we were in the middle of the conversation, a guy approached...Isabella, I think.

"Having fun here, darling?" he asked then hugged him and kissed his forehead.

"Yes, it's a real nuisance, Capone." she said annoyed and her boyfriend immediately tormented her..

"By the way, Blake, she's Wendy, I just met here, and Wendy this is Blake, my husband." he introduced himself and my eyes widened, they were a couple, oh em gee. He just smiled sparingly and looked back at his wife.

"Okay, I will excuse myself, you only have thirty minutes baby, we need to go home." reminder of this.

"Okay, bye, Capone." she said then her husband left.

"I thought your boyfriend...turned out to be your husband." I said and he nodded.

"Yep, we've been married for two years and we have a baby boy." he said and I gasped.

"Uuyy, sorry, am I babbling?" He asked and I immediately shook my head.

"No, it's funny that I can talk to someone now.." I said and he smiled and a guy approached us.

"Hey ladies...Oops, Hi?" he greeted Isabella as if he recognized her.

"Go ahead, talk to her, just don't mind me bro, or my husband will break your ass!" Isabella said then winked at him as he nodded and turned to face me.

"Mind if I join you, no one will be angry, right?" he asked and I just shrugged.

"I'm sorry, but, I just feel like being alone with her, do you mind?" I said softly but why didn't he seem to listen to me, why when Isabella told him not to talk to him did he obey quickly.

"What's your name, Pretty?" this question made me cringe and Isabella just laughed and signaled to me behind the guy's back if she was going to hit him with a beer bottle and I laughed and shook my head.

I immediately looked at the man seriously. "That's none of your business, just go away, okay!" I said annoyed and Isabella clapped behind her weakly.

"Ohh, feisty! I like that.." he immediately approached me and looked over my body.

"What if you finish that drink, and we go back to my place.." he said with a smirk and the annoyance in Isabella's eyes was obvious and he was about to hit her with a beer bottle when suddenly...Hunter pulled me?!

"She's not going anywhere with you!" he said angrily then looked at me seriously.

"Who the hell are you---"

"Hey!" Isabella shouted to the man standing not far from us so he immediately came to us.

"He is harassing one of our customers." it said.

"No, I'm not---"

"Hey, Man, you leave or I'll call the owner here." he said with raised eyebrows and he seemed to realize and Eian immediately led him out.

Hunter was about to pull me out but I looked at Isabella.

"Nice meeting you, I hope to see you again, next time..." I said.

"Yeah sure, bye!" he said goodbye and pulled me to an alley just near the bar then he faced me.

"What do you think your doing?!" he asked seriously so I laughed softly.

"Me?! You're the one who pulled my arm out like a child!" I shouted.

Hunter glares at me and takes a step closer, so my back is pressed against the wall.

"If I hadn't come, would you have gone with that man!" he asked angrily so I glared at him.

"And why?! Does it have anything to do with you?!" I'm also angry to ask.

"Of course, it does!" he shouted. "I've been restless all day since the moment you said you would find another guy!" he added, taking a deep breath, then he looked at me, all over my body.

"And you dress like this, huh?" he said and closed his eyes tightly.

"You have no right to be jealous, Hunter. You made it pretty clear earlier that I'm your student and you're my teacher so no one should come between us!" I said seriously.

"Is a teacher supposed to interfere when his student flirts with men out of class!" I said more. Hunter places his hands on either side of me, trapping me against the wall, as his eyes blaze.

"You know how I feel about you, Wendy. If you weren't my student, you'd be screaming my name in my bedroom right now." He said in a low voice, I swallowed and bit my bottom lip because I felt suddenly dry and my chest beating faster.

He looks back at me in desire, and I know that the one I'm facing now is the Hunter I was with last night and not the Hunter who is our Professor.

"Wendy.." Hunter's voice comes out low and husky as if he's desperately trying to restrain himself as one of his hands move to my hips.

I feel my entire body getting hot under his gaze, and I crave for his lips.. but I immediately closed my eyes tightly then he pulled away from me.

"I can't do this..." I said softly.

"I can't deal with your mood swings. You told me earlier that we can't be together, then now you'll change your mind because you're jealous!"

I looked at the road, trying to ignore the pain in his eyes.

"It's getting late..I have to go home." I said here, before Hunter could stop me, I immediately walked home with tears running down my cheeks.

He's annoying! Does he think I'm not struggling and confused by what's happening?

A week later, I am now in chemistry class, while wearing a lab coat because we have an experiment.

"I wonder what we will experiment with." Carla said excitedly.

"I have no idea, but I'm excited too, this elective is quickly becoming my favorite class." I said smiling. Carla grinned at me.

"Is that because of the course---or because of our hot Professor?" he said so excited that I winced.

"Because of the course! I'm here to learn." I said take a deep breath and he laughed.

Carla looked around to see if anyone was listening to us, then she spoke.

"Speaking of your boyfie? How are you?" he asked and I was tormented.

"I told you what happened, didn't I? I think he also doesn't want us to stop what happened between us last week, but he's thinking too much about things that haven't happened yet." I said.

"He also always messages me or calls me but I just ignore him." I said and Carla seemed sad, she was about to speak when Hunter entered and he was also wearing a lab coat. He's hot, promise!

I turned to the women who seemed to be lighting their butts, tsk! I was tormented by their gossip.

"I didn't think it would be possible for Professor Hunter to get any hotter!" Lizzy said, she was also scolded by Hunter on the first day, isn't she getting bored, right?

"He looks so professional and sexy as f´ck!" it was a low whisper from the person next to me, I just winced because I felt jealous because they could act like that in front of Hunter without fearing anyone.

I turned to Hunter now who was looking around the whole room then he looked at me, and I noticed he smiled at me slightly, sh´t!
