Chapter 3

Vampire stories were always horror stories. Supernatural beings do not encompass much more than the fictional world of most humans, who are unaware of their actual existence in the world, because they do not know the depths of darkness like many others. This is because there are organizations that seek the balance and survival of the human being regarding these races that could easily disappear from the face of the earth. But no one, yet, understands the bases of their dark existence, much less why these beings are so aggressive.

But that's how human beings are. They are terrified of any aspect that threatens their existence regardless of whether this is the food chain, the survival of the fittest: the reality of the animal world to which they believe they do not belong. And they defend themselves against those "monsters", cornering them towards extinction. There are more than one Dracula and Draculina in the world, but they are not all the same. They fear the greatest power. They fear divinity

"It's funny" was the monologue of a beast. Of a one who would be considered a monster due to his inhuman nature "That they worship these divine forms, but want to assassinate the closest representation that exists of their God"

"Humans have too pure a perspective of what being a divine being represented" said a vassal who believed himself to be the great thing and spoke too much "They are dreamers who believe in light more than darkness"

"There are no such differences said the divinity. It is not that I am bad or that I am good. I said there is no such difference" he reaffirmed "It is animal instinct. We are all animals in this world, after all, Orochi"

"Of course, we are, we just have to remind humanity"

"Don't get so excited, you make me sick" His words were harsh and cold "When the time comes, I can assure you, it will be a one" sided slaughter. "I will keep you alive so that you suffer the agony and understand what you have done"

"Sounds wonderful, my Dracula. But what does he plan to do with the Draculina?"

"Hmpt?" He had caught her attention a bit, causing his eyes to look back at him if he ignored him "Yuki?"

"That's right. Wouldn't their immediate extermination be the most pertinent? She is wiping out the vampire population even if she is one of them now. It's unforgivable, how could we overlook it?"

"You're wrong about that. Killing her would be the most impertinent thing you could do. After all, I am the one who has made her like this. She perfectly demonstrates the strength of the order of the food chain: a queen can consume anything and taking down the weakest of the species is the fastest way to strengthen her. "Even if that's the case, we can clean the race ourselves… Besides, once she's dead she could create a new Draculina"

"Enough of your impertinences!" His voice echoed through the darkness "Don't you understand anything? I want to see her do it! Freak out over losses, come to me, and use it as I please. She will have the new generation in her womb and she will not be able to live with it as long as she watches them destroy their beloved humans. It will be my most entertaining battle and most glorious victory. The indomitable Draculina will not be able to against me. To strengthen it for me. If you want to see a dark tomorrow under my reign, make her more powerful to me, and don't you dare kill her, is that clear to you?"

Yuki's point of view.

The darkness of the night had never been compared to that of her eyes. Not a moonless and starless night had gone so far in the existence of the sky, while she always lived in uncertainty to know what was due to that. That intensity of darkness was not something that was seen every day, much less any vampire had it. He was a special case, as he was an alpha male who had been left without a clan many, many years ago, and yet he was still just who he was: a leader by nature.

She asked herself silently the entire time. Why did her teacher keep such potential recast into a team as just one small link in the chain? He was tremendously strong like Jose and Xander were, but he was on a psychological level that could not be understood. And she always felt this overwhelming sense of unavoidable attraction that, she assured herself, couldn't be due to her power of charisma.

"Are you stupid? Be careful with that, you can cut yourself at any time"

That velvety voice always got on her nerves, even when she heard it in her mind. If they communicated by any means, it was still irresistible and see that the tests said that the charisma was only transmitted live. She knew it wasn't that at all, so what the hell did he have? She had never felt so weak. Never in all her life had he been in the line of death like that night and the images would never be erased from her mind. Even in that state, she had shed tears of sadness instead of pain or fear. The air had left her lungs and she felt how she was bleeding, while she could not do anything because the wound in her chest had shocked her entire body. And neither could she refuse the poisonous kiss that that man gave her, letting the ambrosia of a demon enter her throat, her very essence, the poison that would burn in her entrails.
