Chapter 1
I had just finished watching the concert of the idol I had adored for five years. My heart was still racing when my phone suddenly rang.
It was him. He thought I was the most beautiful girl in the front row and confessed his love to me with such passion.
We started a secret online relationship that lasted a year. It felt like a dream until our first anniversary, the day we finally met in person.
The moment he saw me, his face changed. He didn't just break up with me; he insulted me and stopped paying for my dying mother's medical bills.
I begged him for help, telling him I would do anything. Without a second thought, he sold me to a wealthy investor's bed.
Afterward, he laughed in my face, saying it was all just a joke. With no way out, I watched my mother die in her hospital bed.
Driven by despair, I threw myself off the roof of the hospital. But when I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day he first called me.

I felt my body falling through the air at a terrifying speed. The wind screamed in my ears like a hungry ghost.
There was a deafening thud as I hit the ground. My consciousness began to fade along with the agonizing pain.
I don't know how much time passed, but a sharp numbness in my arm jolted me awake. I smelled the stinging scent of bleach and frowned.
"Lyra, were you having a nightmare?" My mother's soft, concerned voice drifted into my ears.
I snapped my head up. She was lying right there in her hospital bed, looking at me.
My body trembled uncontrollably. Was she really alive?
Was I alive too? How was this even possible?
I grabbed my phone from the bedside table. When I saw the date on the screen, the truth hit me like a lightning bolt.
I had been reborn. I was back to a year ago.
In my past life, my best friend Lola Montgomery told me she had a surprise. She dragged me to a sold-out concert.
I almost fainted when I saw Jaxson Reed on stage. He had been my idol for five years.
Lola cheered and screamed beside me in the front row. She was gorgeous and stood out like a diamond under the stage lights.
Jaxson kept glancing our way during the show. Every time he looked, my heart skipped a beat.
After the show, I said goodbye to Lola and rushed back to the hospital. That night, I got a call from an unknown number.
"Hi, this is Jaxson Reed."
That deep, smooth voice sent a shiver through my entire body. Even through the phone, I knew it was him instantly.
"I saw you in the crowd today. From the first moment, I knew I had to get to know you."
His voice was magnetic. Every word felt like a stone dropped into a quiet lake, creating ripples in my heart.
I couldn't believe my ears. After that call, he added me on social media.
My life changed overnight. I was blinded by love and gave everything to this relationship with my idol.
On our one-year anniversary, he asked to meet. I ran toward him with a smile, but he looked horrified.
"You're the one I've been talking to this whole time?"
I froze. A sharp pain stabbed at my chest. If not me, then who?
"I made a mistake. You look nothing like her. We're done."
He said those cold words and turned to leave. I chased after him, but he shoved me to the ground.
Paparazzi were hiding nearby and caught everything. The photos went viral instantly.
Jaxson didn't protect me. He posted a statement calling me a delusional, obsessed stalker.
He threw me to the wolves. The entire internet started bullying me.
I was drowning in hate. I didn't dare speak up because Jaxson was paying for my mother's expensive treatments.
But after the scandal, he cut off the money. I called him, sobbing, begging for one more chance.
"You want money? Fine," he sneered. "If you make my investor, Mr. Sterling, happy tonight, I might throw you some scraps."
To save my mother, I swallowed my pride and went to his hotel room. I let him use me.
Afterward, Jaxson just laughed. "Wow, you actually slept with him? You really are a cheap little thing. I was just joking."
My blood froze. I had traded my dignity for a cruel punchline.
To him, I was just a toy to be played with and tossed aside. I hated him, but I hated my own weakness more.
My mother died shortly after. My hope died with her.
I walked to the roof of the hospital and let the wind take me.
But now, I was back. My phone started ringing at the exact same time as before.
This time, I didn't pick up. I simply declined the call and sent a text.
"Wrong number. I'm not the person you're looking for."
