Chapter 2

Chapter 2   It was a new day and in Manhattan, life began early, in a luxurious mansion in the heart of the city, Thomas Mitchell opened his eyes, and next to him, his splendid fiancée, Aranza, her clear eyes were watching him, he could feel how her gaze harassed him.   "Hmm! Good morning beautiful," The woman approached and kissed him on the cheek.   "Good morning sleepyhead, you almost didn't wake up."   "It's very early Aranza, I'm still sleepy," Thomas lunged at the woman's chest, but she made a movement dodging his body.   "No!" It's time to get up, we must look for all the floral arrangements for the wedding, the preparations must be left this week, and they are long days of work, so get up at once," the woman snapped with an angry face.   Thomas regained his posture and stared at her.   "We're getting married in four months, I don't see the need to look for flowers from today beautiful, besides I have things to do.   "Things to do?" What can be more important than our marriage? Aranza grumbled, starting a small argument. Thomas slowly approached and kissed her on the forehead.   "Nothing is more important, honey, but I have to work, I have to go to my foundations.  "What?" When we get married, that issue of wasting money on those starving people must end, do you understand?  Thomas took a breath and remained calm.   "Don't talk that way, honey, they are people with many needs and if we can help them, we will.  "Can we?" Don't include me there, those people disgust me. The woman got up in a rage and left the room, Thomas with his head down began to recapitulate the qualities for which his wife was going to choose her, and more than the recommendation of his parents he could not find anything.   In the same way he got up and took a quick shower, dressed casually, blue jeans, a white T-shirt, and sneakers, going to his foundations was his main hobby.   An hour later, he was riding in his beautiful convertible, in the back of the car there was not room for a single more gift, he carried details for the little ones, because this made them very happy.   Meanwhile, Rous opened her eyes in an unknown place, although she managed to sleep the night before, she had no idea what would become of her and her son from that day on, she stroked the hair of her little one who was still lying asleep, and took the opportunity to take a shower.   They were located in a kind of room that had a small living room, two beds and a bathroom, which was more comfortable than where she lived, the woman who received her the night before began to call them all for breakfast.   Elian opened his eyes at the bustle, and woke up intrigued, put on his shoes, and urged his mother to come out.   The woman took her son by the hand, immersed in nervousness at this novel experience. However, outside, the outlook was encouraging. A group of women, each accompanied by their children, descended the stairs to a large dining room, where other women collaborated by serving hot food.  "Did you sleep?" Sally, the woman from the night before, pulled Rous out of her thoughts.  "Good morning. Yes, I was able to sleep, but now I don't have money to pay for anything in this place.  "Who told you that you need money?" - said the woman with a jovial tone.  "Oh, no?" Rous blushed.  "No, this is a foundation, souls, and love. Do you know who the founder is? Rous shook his head. "Well, it must be coming." Come, let's have breakfast before he shows up, because when he comes, everybody goes crazy," Sally headed toward the dining halls, trying to organize people. Rous sat with his son at a table, and a woman served them a delicious breakfast. Elian barely opened his eyes with pleasure.  "Mommy! Look how tasty!   "Eat, my love, eat please." Rous could not believe such blessings. How long would all this last?  They didn't finish breakfast when the parking lot door opened. It was the convertible of the owner of the foundation, and it was then that everyone present began to make a fuss.  "It's here!" It's here! - murmured some women who were at the table. Rous, intrigued, wanted to look up to meet the beloved man, but the crowd would not allow it.  When he started handing out the gifts for the little ones, Elian ran out to get in the middle of the other children and receive his.  "Elian!" Elian! "Rous went out desperately after her little one, as she could she got into the middle of the people so as not to lose sight of her little one, pushing she managed to sneak to the front, her son managed to receive the gift of the good lord.   But at that moment everything became cloudy for Rous, his cheeks flushed, and his legs vanished like butter.   It was Thomas Mitchel!   <<It can't be happening to me! What a shame!>> Rous repeated to herself, while she covered her face with her hair, trying not to lose sight of her little one, without being discovered.   Elian ran through the crowd and Rous grabbed him tightly by his arm.   "Don't do that to me again, child!" Can be dangerous.  "But mommy," protested the little boy, who in the midst of everything was happy for his reward.   Rous took him by the hand and went straight to the small apartment assigned to him and locked himself there in the hope of leaving only when Thomas left, he had to solve soon and leave that place.   Her little boy entertained himself with the gift, while she kept looking around the window, everyone outside seemed to be having fun, they adored Thomas as if he were a God, and how could he not? If the man was the host of all that happening.   Rous was biting his nails, when two knocks on the door made him jump in fright.   "Who is it?" She asked fearfully.  "I'm Sally, honey, when there are new people, they must introduce themselves to the founder, for him it is very important to welcome them," said the woman on the other side of the door.   <<No, no!>> Rous cursed to himself.   "Sally, I just don't feel well," Rous faked a cough.  "Rous, it is a general rule that you must report to Mr. Mitchel, or you must get out of here, I'll be waiting for you downstairs in ten minutes."   "Okay! Rous replied.   However, he would not risk going through the worst embarrassment of his life, so he collected the few belongings that he had not yet unpacked, put a coat on his son and decided to leave the foundation, they left through the back door without anyone noticing.   His heart was pounding, but the scariest thing about the case was that he had to go through the front of the foundation entrance again, as the back door opened onto an alley.   He squeezed his son's hand tighter and quickened his pace.   "Hurry up, darling, we have to go.   The little boy was carrying the gift Thomas gave him, a beautiful soccer ball, which slipped from his hands, rolling to the other side of the avenue.   Rous grumbled angrily, and crouched down at her son's height, setting her suitcases aside.   "Listen to me very little one, I must go get your ball, but don't move from here, do you understand?" Don't move!   The little boy shook his head, Rous ran without noticing on both sides of the street, at that moment a car turned to take the avenue, she could not anticipate his passing, she only closed her eyes and waited for the blow, the convertible did not manage to brake either.   "Mommy! The heartbroken Elian ran away when he saw his mother lying in a pool of blood, while the driver got out of the convertible.   Thomas grabbed his head in both hands and desperately began to ask for help, he did not see her coming, he took the car out of the foundation and could not see when she came out of nowhere, it was a tragic and unexpected accident.   On the ground lay the poor woman, her bones shattered, the ambulance would soon arrive, hopefully it wasn't too late for her.
