Chapter 3

3.

I fumbled with my keys and swung the door open. What I saw made me freeze in my tracks.

Zach was shirtless, slumped on the sofa. He was breathing heavily, his hair soaked with sweat.

But what shocked me most was his pants. There was a huge wet patch right at the crotch.

"What the hell happened to you? Did you pee yourself?" I stared at him, completely baffled.

Zach jumped when he heard my voice. He looked away, stuttering.

"N-no... I just... I spilled my beer."

I was about to call him out when Serena walked out of the bathroom.

Her face was flushed, and she couldn't meet my eyes. She looked like she had just been caught doing something wrong.

"I'm going back to the room," she whispered, disappearing behind the door before I could say a word.

My mind was racing. Was I overthinking this, or was something seriously wrong?

"Come on, let's drink!" Zach grabbed a beer and chugged half of it, clearly trying to hide something.

I pushed my doubts aside and sat down. I took a long drink, but the cold liquid didn't help my frustration.

"Ray, I'm telling you, you're the luckiest guy alive. Serena's chest is so perfect, and that ass..."

Zach was getting drunk and lost his filter. As he spoke, his hand actually brushed against my leg.

I slapped it away. "What's wrong with you? That's your friend's girlfriend you're talking about!"

Zach didn't seem to hear me. His eyes were glazed over as he whispered, "I want her... I want her so bad..."

I didn't hear the rest of what he said because my own head was starting to feel heavy.

Between the beer and the heat, everything started to blur.

In my hazy state, I thought I saw Serena walk over with a glass of water. Her thin gown showed every curve, making me ache.
