Chapter 1
My girlfriend bombed her college entrance exams, turned into a total slacker, and wanted to move away to work odd jobs with her foster brother.
I could not bear to watch her ruin her future, so I spent my own money and effort to tutor her through a retake.
She finally got into a great university, and her future looked bright.
Meanwhile, her foster brother got into constant trouble while working out of town, nearly beat someone to death, and was thrown into prison.
Kelsey actually blamed me for it.
“If it were not for you, I would have been there to watch him! He never would have gotten into trouble!”
She resented me for ruining her foster brother. Once he got parole, the two of them teamed up and pushed me off a cliff.
When I opened my eyes again, I was back to the year Kelsey failed her exams.
This time, I let go without hesitation. I wanted to see what kind of happiness she would find with her manic foster brother.

“Come on, Raymond, are you done yet? It is just a failed test. If you look down on me this much, we can break up right now!”
My mind snapped back from excruciating pain.
I was still dazed when Kelsey’s familiar voice rang in my ears.
I looked around at the familiar scene.
It was a smoky LAN cafe with dirty chairs, shady men eyeing Kelsey, and Kelsey herself, staring at me with complete annoyance.
This was the exact time Kelsey had spiraled out of control after bombing her exams.
“Why aren't you saying anything? Fine, I will take that as a yes. Now get lost and stop annoying me!”
I pinched myself in disbelief. The sharp sting confirmed that I had truly been reborn.
In my previous life, Kelsey fell apart after failing her exams.
She spent every single day in gaming lounges, learning to smoke and drink.
I thought she was just heartbroken over her test scores. So I encouraged her to retake the exam so she could still get into a good college.
Instead, Kelsey tearfully rejected me, claiming her family favored boys and refused to pay for her prep.
My heart ached for her, cursing the unfairness of her family.
During my college years, I worked exhausting part-time jobs and even took out personal loans to fund her retake.
In the end, Kelsey got into an elite university and became a successful corporate professional after graduation.
Meanwhile, because I had spent all my college years working odd jobs to support her, my own grades suffered.
My achievements after graduation could not compare to hers.
Yet Kelsey did not dump me then. We eventually got married and seemed to have a happy life.
Feeling unworthy of her, I catered to her every whim after marriage and handed over all our financial assets.
Everything changed the moment her foster brother, Brock, was released from prison.
Kelsey became busier and busier, treating me with cold indifference.
Whenever anything happened to Brock, she would rush over anxiously to take care of it.
At first, I fully supported her and even offered to help, thinking he was just an important family member.
